About The Team
The Sr. Supplier Engineering Manager, will lead and grow a dynamic supplier engineering team during Noah’s NPI commercialization phase through to sustaining. The role will be responsible for overseeing supplier manufacturing process and all component technical aspects included but not limited to capacity increases, tooling and equipment, part and sub assembly supplier evaluations.
The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, optimize production schedules, meet customer demands, improve processes, support NPI, scale production, improve the factory, own safety and facilities, while maintaining high-quality standards.
A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Supplier Engineering Manager at Noah Medical
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Supplier Engineering (SE) team during NPI commercialization through Sustaining
- Develop process and execute comprehensive:
- Component manufacturing process and selection procedure
- Supplier selection processes and procedures
- Component manufacturing and tooling strategy aligned with the company's cost and capacity objectives, ensuring the supplier factories scale to delivery needs
- Qualification of the purchased components and subassemblies per procedures
- Manages SE team to ensure deliverables are met for NPI to Production launches .
- Monitor supplier progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and utilize data analytics to streamline SE operations, increase productivity, and reduce waste.
- Develop, improve and implement supplier quality, capacity and selection processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve supplier component and subassembly COGS goals including “should costing” work as needed.
- Tracks, Manages and improves supplier SCAR/CAPA process. Insuring SCAR and CAPA are done on time
- Track and manages on time to requirements NCR’s
- Manages and Develops IQC including standardization and on time performance for mfg-ops and meeting QA/RA requirements
- Staff, hire and train team members to meet deliverable requirements.
- Aligns with global supply chain and oversee supplier escalations and execution as needed
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices and quality management system in accordance with FDA regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Establish and manage department budget/headcount and develop opportunities for budget reductions.
- Collaborate well with team members throughout Noah organization and supplier teams.
- Proactive and using data to determine supply chain improvement plans
- Tracks weekly metrics to insure department deliverables are achieved in compliance with QA/RA requirements. Including but not limited to NCRs, SCAR’s, assigned CAPA’s, CQP’s, Remediations, SQA’s and SCN’s.
- Other related duties.
About You
- Education: BS degree in a technical field or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing, including 7+ years of supplier engineering or related experience.
- Prior manufacturing experience in a medical device company, preferably on surgical robotics or equivalent highly complex medical devices.
- Strong verbal and written skill with the ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels in the organization.
- Excellent people and project management skills and a proven track record of managing mid-sized to large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in MRP systems, MS office and related office automation systems.
- Experience in Medical Device Design Control processes preferred.
- Experience with sterilization processes preferred.
- Bilingual in Mandarin is preferred but not required.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Noah Medical offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors such as location as permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
California Pay Range
$175,000 - $225,000 USD
