About The Team

The Sales Operations Team is the driving force behind our organization's sales excellence and operational efficiency. Composed of a talented group of professionals, the Sales Operations Team is dedicated to empowering our sales force through the use of data,  optimizing processes, and ensuring the overall success of our sales process and  initiatives. 

A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Manager, Sales operations

The Sr. Manager, Commercial Operations plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing a broad range of functions that are crucial to the productivity, success, and growth of the sales and marketing organizations, as well as strategy and finance operations. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Sr. Manager Commercial Operations oversees planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales and marketing process optimization, sales and marketing program implementation, sales compensation, business analytics, and strategic financial planning. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to establish efficient systems, deliver data-driven insights, and drive strategic growth.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team across sales, marketing, and finance operations.
  • Sales, Marketing, and Finance Project Management: Lead projects related to key operational systems and processes, ensuring successful implementation and collaboration across departments. Projects may include sales strategy, marketing campaign planning, financial forecasting, budgeting, and technology adoption.
  • Budgeting and Financial Modeling: Work with Finance and Sales Leadership to develop and manage budgets. Build financial models to support strategic decision-making, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Territory and Quota Management: Support the development and analysis of sales territories and quotas, making adjustments as needed throughout the year.
  • Sales and Marketing Process Optimization: Collaborate with sales and marketing management to identify and implement process improvements. Create and maintain reporting initiatives, including dashboards and insights for business reviews.

Marketing Analytics and Reporting: Design and maintain marketing analytics to track campaign performance. Create dashboards and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making in marketing.

  • Enabling Technologies: Implement enabling technologies, including CRM and marketing automation tools, to improve field sales and marketing effectiveness. Ensure technology alignment with business strategy and operational efficiency.
  • Training and Compliance: Monitor compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data and financial data. Provide training and support to ensure best practices.
  • Sales and Marketing Incentive Compensation: Partner with Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR to support the sales and marketing incentive compensation programs. Generate goals, oversee reporting, calculate attainment, and administer special incentive programs and contests.
  • Business Analytics and Strategy: Lead business analytics efforts, providing insights into sales and marketing performance. Analyze data trends to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Customer Programs Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and customer-facing teams to develop customer programs and promotions, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and sales strategy.
  • Business Systems Strategy: Work with IT and other stakeholders to build and maintain business systems that support operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Peer Support and Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with other key internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and IT.

 

About You

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in data manipulation, CRM, marketing automation, business intelligence tools, and financial modeling software.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
  • Business Acumen: Aligning operational activities with short- and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in leading complex projects across sales, marketing, and finance domains.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to extract insights from large datasets and build financial models to support strategic planning.

Education: A bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA preferred. Experience in sales, marketing, finance, and business strategy is highly desirable.
