Host/Restaurant Reservationist
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and organized individual to join our dynamic front-of-house team as a Host/Restaurant Reservationist. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive first impression for all diners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Seat guests promptly and efficiently at available tables.
- Coordinate with Servers, Captains, and Management to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout service.
- Manage waiting guests, providing accurate wait time estimates and effectively communicating with guests to manage expectations.
- Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management as needed.
- Reservations:
- Manage restaurant reservations through phone calls, online platforms (SevenRooms), and in-person requests.
- Accurately record and update reservation information in the reservation system.
- Communicate reservation changes to the service team and management.
- Maximize table turnover while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- General:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host station and waiting area, including tidying menus, arranging seating, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, such as assisting servers during peak hours.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a host or customer service role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong organizational abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanour, with a polished and well-groomed appearance.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing exceptional service to guests.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
