Host/Restaurant Reservationist

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and organized individual to join our dynamic front-of-house team as a Host/Restaurant Reservationist. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive first impression for all diners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service:
• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Seat guests promptly and efficiently at available tables.
• Coordinate with Servers, Captains, and Management to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout service.
• Manage waiting guests, providing accurate wait time estimates and effectively communicating with guests to manage expectations.
• Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management as needed.
• Reservations:
• Manage restaurant reservations through phone calls, online platforms (SevenRooms), and in-person requests.
• Accurately record and update reservation information in the reservation system.
• Communicate reservation changes to the service team and management.
• Maximize table turnover while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• General:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host station and waiting area, including tidying menus, arranging seating, and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, such as assisting servers during peak hours.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a host or customer service role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Strong organizational abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanour, with a polished and well-groomed appearance.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing exceptional service to guests.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
