DME Technician & Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable DME Technician & Clerk to support the daily operations of our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Supply Department. In this role, you will assist with shipping and receiving activities, inventory management, order fulfillment, and documentation to ensure medical devices and supplies are accurately tracked and distributed.
This position plays an important role in maintaining efficient supply chain operations while ensuring patient needs are prioritized. The DME Technician & Clerk will collaborate with internal teams to ensure devices, accessories, and necessary equipment are available and delivered in a timely and compliant manner. This role reports to the VP, Supply Chain & Operations and is an full-time, on-site position located in our Pleasanton Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating internal systems following shipping, receiving, and other operational activities
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained
- Fulfill orders for medical devices and accessories with a high degree of accuracy
- Configure device settings when required by specific order instructions
- Complete and maintain all required documentation associated with order fulfillment
- Process returned devices by updating internal systems and completing required return documentation
- Notify internal stakeholders when returns are received and processed
- Maintain traceability by updating device location records when equipment is shipped to internal or external customers
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and compliance
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure patients receive medical devices and supplies in a timely manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant work experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and clerical tasks
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work on-site five days per week during normal business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the medical device industry or another regulated environment with a quality management system
- Experience managing medical equipment inventory and distribution
- Previous experience working in a regulated healthcare environment
- Certification as a pharmacist or DME operator
- Prior experience working for a Durable Medical Equipment provider
Compensation:
- $28.30 per hour + commission + stock options
