PT Engineer

About the position 

Test Automation Engineer contributing to Test Automation Design and Development to ensure best customer experience with our products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the entire team to identify potential application and infrastructure bottlenecks and suggest changes
  • Set up the performance test process from scratch
  • Own the performance test process
  • Work on latest technologies and gain insight on new business models
  • Expand scope and depth of your technical leadership
  • Work alongside architects to set up the performance test processes
  • Identify bottlenecks, stress and load test and follow performance testing processes
  •  Build modular automated performance test scripts to identify load and scalability concerns for web-based applications and mobile applications utilizing SOA design and APIs in a continuous integration environment provide remediation plans
  • Utilizing load, stress, and analysis tools to model performance scenarios, perform initial analysis using performance monitoring tool and identify potential system and resources bottlenecks
  • Analyze performance results and produce relevant reports and quality metrics with suggestions for improvements
  • Research new ways of performance testing and recommend system configuration and tuning improvements based on observations
  • Positive attitude, result oriented, demonstrating Accountability and Ownership using a variety of techniques and collaboration



  • Take ownership of the non-functional test solution from project initiation to final acceptance, with responsibility for each NFT milestone within the cycle
  • Provide professional project planning, estimation, non-functional test approaches, Technical Test solution quality, issue/risk management and results/analysis in keeping with department standards.

 

Must Have Skills:

  •  Overall  8+ years of experience with 3+years of  relevant experience in Performance Testing with excellent expertise in Jmeter. 
  • Demonstrated capability to drive out Test Strategies in a global organization and to oversee the testing team activities and initiatives for best practices.
  • 3 years of experience in Java.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Automation Frameworks like Code Cept  /Selenium/Appium. 
  • Knowledge of JVM tuning based on test results.
  • Experienced in working on Linux/Unix.



Good to Have:

  • Ability to take each performance issue analysis as far as possible, to the point of being able to suggest a fix
  • Ability to recommend scope for performance tests and to interpret results
  • At least 1 year experience with designing, planning and execution of system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle
  • Minimum of 3 years working on performance testing and engineering of large scale eCommerce/web applications
  • Experience in planning and estimation of performance test team activities, manage test preparation and test execution tasks, ensuring they are completed on time



Qualification and Experience

  • BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
