ABOUT THE ROLE
Nooks is seeking a seasoned Site Security Lead to manage and enhance the overall security posture of our El Segundo facility. This role ensures full compliance with national security regulations and supports the secure execution of programs within a classified environment. Reporting to the Principal Site Lead, you’ll lead all security operations, oversee the site security team, and act as the primary liaison between Nooks and its government, defense, and industry partners.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in industrial and physical security, classified space accreditation, and risk mitigation, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all aspects of site and program security, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, and DoDM 5205.07 Vol. 2
- Oversee the planning, construction, accreditation, and ongoing maintenance of SCIFs and other classified spaces while conducting and managing security risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses
- Act as the primary liaison for security matters with government agencies, defense contractors, internal stakeholders, and customers
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a compliant and informed workforce
- Supervise, mentor, and ensure operational readiness of the site security team
- Manage visitor access control, security clearances, and personnel vetting, using systems such as DISS, NBIS, and NISS
- Coordinate and execute emergency response plans, incident investigations, and reporting protocols
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to protect classified systems and infrastructure
- Prepare, review, and manage DD Form 254s, including subcontractor coordination
- Conduct required security briefings and training, including onboarding, refresher training, derivative classification, debriefings, and incident follow-up
THE SKILLSET
- 10+ years of experience in industrial, physical, or national security operations, with increasing responsibility
- Expert knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, and related federal security regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing classified construction, SCIF accreditation, and ongoing compliance
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise and develop teams
- Track record of successful risk assessments, audits, and government inspections
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with government and industry stakeholders
- Preferred certifications: Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- Existing relationships within the DoD and Intelligence Communities a strong plus

- Must possess active TS/SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship required

$140,000 - $160,000 USD
