ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for the configuration, security, and maintenance of the organization's Google Workspace environment within the unclassified IT infrastructure and systems. This role ensures seamless and secure operations of all corporate technology, in compliance with organizational security requirements. The IT Systems Engineer will manage and maintain the corporate network, including connectivity and tools, and provide end-user support. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain the company's unclassified corporate network operations, including connectivity and tools.
  • Manage the complete Google Workspace user lifecycle, including creating, suspending, and deprovisioning accounts.
  • Administer and audit API Controls and OAuth scopes to manage third-party applications for corporate data access.
  • Support Google Workspace-related issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and maintaining accurate system documentation.
  • Support the corporate Microsoft Entra environment, troubleshooting issues, general Entra configurations and maintenance, and maintaining accurate system documentation.
  • Ensure interconnectivity across diverse environments including Google, AWS, and on-premise systems.
  • Configure and maintain corporate systems in line with company CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance goals.
  • Provide end-user support for connectivity, access, software support/deployment, and general IT issues.
  • Procure IT hardware and software in support of the company.
  • Track support requests and trends to improve the user experience.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and build strong partnerships across teams.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues efficiently.
  • Document systems and configurations clearly.

THE SKILLSET:

  • 6-8 years of experience in IT.
  • Experience managing projects and communicating technical functions to vendors and employees.
  • Proven expertise with Google Workspace Administration Required.
  • Additionally technical experience with platforms such as Microsoft Entra, Cisco, VMware/Virtualization, and Windows, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise-level networks and with CMMC compliance.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor and multi-provider environment and familiarity with integrating different technologies within cloud provider environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, identifies areas for improvement, and has confidence in making decisions.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A clearance is preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION

  • This role is between $135,000 - $160,000 base salary (Level 4)
