POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the DTC Performance Marketing team, the Senior eCommerce Marketing Analyst will assume responsibility for aggregating and analyzing data to support the strategic planning & growth goals for the eCommerce business. The person in this position will be expected to be the team data expert and able derive insights to inform media and eCommerce strategy by identifying competitive trends, audience insights, diagnosing performance issues and more. The ideal candidate will be very proactive and comfortable with digging into data to develop insights, using it to build and support a story, and communicate effectively with business leadership while maintaining responsible data governance.

Essential Function Statement(s)

  • Analyze syndicated media, category trend, and sales data and make informed business recommendations related to holistic media strategy (products, channels, pricing, etc.)
  • Work with DTC Marketing team to understand business priorities and performance, and co-develop reporting views as needed for regular use as well as leadership presentations
  • Serve as team expert across 1p and 3p eCommerce data platforms and shape team’s data strategy and understanding of the relative strengths and weaknesses of different sources
  • Act as a shared service across DTC and Performance marketing teams – work to build learning plans that track tests and performance over time 
  • Lead special and ad hoc analytics projects as needed
  • Maintain best practices with data integrity  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Tools:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office and have advanced Excel and PPT skills (Pivot Tables + charts, VLookups, Macros)
  • Proficiency in syndicated POS data, consumer panel data (Nielsen, Circana (IRI), SPINS, Stackline, DOMO, DAAP, or similar
  • Experience with media bid management/performance platforms (Skai, Pacvue, or similar)
  • Proficiency in analyzing internal sales performance (revenue, profit) required
  • Understanding of paid media metrics and impact on broader business health and priorities (ROAS, CTR, DPVR, frequency)
  • Ability to synthesize paid and organic metrics to extract insights and strategy recommendations

Certifications & Licenses: N/A

Other Requirements:       

  • 3+ years experience in syndicated data  analytics in the CPG space (dietary supplement experience a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • Experience in presenting data analysis to key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Strong analytical skills – experience with syndicated data highly preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and learn quickly
  • Strategic analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Frequent use of independent judgement skills, problem solving, teamwork, creativity  
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated leadership and organization skills required; collaborative, team player
  • Consumer insights or research experience a plus
