Sr. Manager, Shopper Marketing

Watsonville, CA

Location: Remote

Salary:  130K - 160K

Position Summary

Nordic Naturals is the #1 Omega 3 brand in the U.S., dedicated to delivering the world's safest and most effective nutrients essential to health. Our vision is to correct the global omega-3 deficiency by providing high-quality, sustainable, and transparently sourced nutritional supplements. Grounded in science and manufactured to the highest standards, Nordic Naturals creates products that people trust and rely on for their daily wellness.

Nordic Naturals is seeking a high-energy, strategic Senior Manager of Shopper Marketing to join our brand team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between brand strategy and our retail channels and will own all consumer facing retail executions.   This role will be responsible for elevating shopper and customer activations, building internal capabilities to step-change our partnership with sales, and delivering retail strategies to support key channels and accounts.

Functioning as the main bridge between sales and marketing, this role collaborates closely with the newly established Channel Marketing Manager within the Sales team. While both positions jointly oversee retail initiatives, this role specifically drives the consumer-targeted strategy and activation, whereas Channel Marketing handles customer- and retailer-focused efforts.

Reasonable Accommodations Statement:

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Strategy & Sales Enablement

  • Develop the consumer 'path to purchase' brand framework, translating shopper insights and segmentation into actionable, retailer-specific strategies that drive conversion across the omnichannel ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary Marketing partner to Sales, establishing the brand-led retail strategy and tactics that differentiate Nordic Naturals at the point of sale.
  • Collaborate with sales to outline retailer / channel prioritization matrix
  • Develop and deploy support playbooks for new product launches, distribution expansion, and velocity acceleration at key retailers/channels.
  • Build best-in-class, strategy-first customer-facing materials and selling stories for key retailer meetings, ensuring alignment between brand objectives and retail execution.

Shopper Marketing & Omnichannel Activation

  • Design and execute high-impact shopper marketing initiatives that bring together brand activations, retailer moments and consumer seasonal relevancy
  • Lead conversion strategies across digital and physical retail touchpoints, optimizing the shopper experience
  • Own the end-to-end retail media strategy, managing investment and execution across retailer platforms to drive reach, conversion, and ROAS.
  • Leverage shopper journey insights to drive basket build and new-to-brand (NTB) consumer acquisition.
  • Own end-to-end retail content and PDP strategy, including asset management and cross-functional collaboration to optimize presence on Amazon and .com.

Insights & Performance

  • Data-Driven Measurement: Define and track KPIs across both digital and physical activations
  • Translate complex data into retail-specific "Healthspan" storytelling that shifts merchandising from ingredient education to outcome-based shopper solutions.
  • Active budget management to maximize impact of strategies

Position Qualifications

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to initiate marketing-led, strategy-first annual planning processes for retail.
  • Omnichannel Expertise: Deep understanding of the Path to Purchase across FDM, Natural, Costco, and E-tail channels.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of building internal capabilities to improve sales support and cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in high-growth VMS (Vitamins, Minerals, Supplements) or consumer-packaged goods (CPG) is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
