This is a hybrid leadership role for a senior generalist who can move comfortably across both Data and AI domains. The ideal candidate is not expected to be the deepest expert in every tool or technology, but should have the technical judgment, business understanding, communication skills, and strategic mindset needed to connect client needs with valuable Data & AI solutions.
The role combines partial dedication to the Data & AI Studio with partial billable work in client accounts. This balance is important to ensure the Practice Lead remains close to real client challenges, delivery realities, market needs, and emerging opportunities.
How your day-to-day work will look like:
- Lead and Evolve the Data & AI Practice.
- Help define the strategic focus areas for the Data & AI Studio.
- Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and new opportunities in Data, Analytics, Automation, and AI.
- Translate trends and business needs into clear service offerings, internal capabilities, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Help formalize new Data & AI offerings so they can be prepared, positioned, and promoted by the Marketing and Growth teams.
- Promote best practices across the organization regarding the responsible, practical, and value-driven use of Data & AI.
- Support Growth, Pre-Sales, and Account Expansion.
- Support Growth initiatives focused on both new logos and account expansion.
- Participate in client conversations to understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Present Nearsure’s Data & AI capabilities to clients and prospects in a clear, confident, and business-oriented way.
- Help identify the right technical profiles, skills, and delivery teams needed for new opportunities.
- Work closely with technical specialists to support proposals, solution definitions, RFP/RFI responses, and technical recommendations.
- Help shape solutions that are realistic, valuable, scalable, and aligned with client goals.
- Drive Internal AI Adoption.
- Research and promote the use of AI within Nortal to improve internal processes and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI agents, automation, content generation, knowledge management, and productivity tools across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and test practical AI use cases.
- Help create internal examples, playbooks, and reusable assets that accelerate AI adoption.
- Stay Connected to Delivery.
- Participate in billable client work as part of the role’s partial dedication.
- Contribute to client projects where Data & AI expertise, discovery, advisory, solution definition, or hands-on guidance is needed.
- Use real client delivery experience to continuously improve the Studio’s offerings, positioning, and internal capabilities.
- Support Delivery teams when specific Data & AI expertise is required.
- Support Talent, Recruiting, and Community Enablement.
- Support Recruiting when hiring for Data & AI-related roles by helping define requirements, validate profiles, and assess technical fit when needed.
- Support Delivery teams in evaluating bench profiles against new opportunities related to the Studio.
- Contribute to the development of specialists through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and specific career development initiatives.
- Share insights with the internal community through talks, sessions, documentation, and other enablement activities.
- Collaborate with specialists, delivery leaders, growth teams, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders.
This would make you the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ Years of professional experience in technology consulting, with a proven track record supporting pre-sales, discovery conversations, solution design, and technical proposals for enterprise clients.
- 6+ Years of experience architecting and managing scalable enterprise data solutions, including corporate data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
- 2+ Years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and scaling Enterprise Generative AI solutions and Large Language Models (LLMs) via Azure AI, OpenAI, or Claude.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex client needs into high-value Data & AI opportunities.
- Strategic thinker capable of prioritizing practice efforts, managing stakeholder alignment, and working effectively across commercial, delivery, recruiting, and leadership teams.
- A hands-on leadership mindset, maintaining a strong willingness to remain actively connected to client delivery and execution.
- Practical experience implementing and driving adoption of modern data environments such as Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
- Strong background in data integration pipelines, robust reporting, and advanced Business Intelligence (BI) utilizing Power BI or Tableau.
- Proven expertise building production-ready virtual agents, custom copilots, and autonomous AI agents using tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI Studio.
- Deep understanding of AI-driven automation, agentic workflows, and productivity use cases that tangibly transform business operations.
- Strategic and technical mastery of cloud data and AI ecosystems across major hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
