About the project
As a Data Engineer, you will work at the center of a high-visibility platform modernization effort, with the opportunity to shape how a large-scale data environment is re-architected for the next generation of analytics and data science workloads. This is hands-on, delivery-focused work with a clearly defined scope and timeline.
What you’ll do
- Migrate tables, views, and stored procedures from Redshift to Databricks with accuracy and minimal disruption to downstream consumers.
- Build and support Databricks pipelines and jobs to replace existing Redshift-based workflows.
- Validate migrated objects for data integrity, performance, and functional parity with legacy Redshift equivalents.
- Collaborate with data governance and platform teams to ensure lineage, cataloging, and access controls carry over correctly to the new environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues across the data lake and warehouse layers.
What makes you a great fit 🎯
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ Years of experience working with core AWS services, including S3, Athena, and Glue.
- 6+ Years of experience building, deploying, and supporting Databricks pipelines and jobs.
- Strong data engineering background with hands-on experience in both Databricks and Redshift.
- Solid understanding of data lake architectures and modern lakehouse design principles.
- Knowledge of data governance and management practices, including data lineage, data catalogs, and role-based access controls.
- Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
