Principal Product Manager
About Northbeam
Northbeam is building the world's most advanced marketing intelligence platform, providing top eCommerce brands a unified view of their business data through powerful attribution modeling and customizable dashboards. Our technology helps customers accurately track ad spend, understand the full customer journey, and drive profitable growth. Machine learning has been at the heart of Northbeam since day one: our full suite of measurement, spanning multi-touch attribution, MMM+, and incrementality, is built on it, along with laser-accurate first-party data. Now we're taking that foundation further, using AI to help brands operationalize their data and turn Northbeam insights into automated decisions.
We're experiencing rapid growth, have strong product-market fit, and are looking for the right people to help us scale. This is a rare chance to make a meaningful impact at a fast-moving, high-growth company. At Northbeam, you'll join a team of driven, collaborative, and talented individuals who value personal growth and excellence. We'd love for you to be part of our journey.
We're a remote-friendly company with physical offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
About the Role
We are a design-led, customer-first organization. Product and Design sit together as one team by intention: we believe the best products come from deeply understanding customer problems and obsessing over the experience of solving them, not from shipping features. If you believe craft, customer empathy, and speed can coexist, you'll feel at home here.
We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to own big portions of the company roadmap and lead some of our largest, most complex product experiences from concept to execution. This role will report to our Head of Product, within the Product and Design organization led by our Chief Product & Design Officer, and you'll work closely with both.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role for someone who loves the craft of building product: writing the specs, sitting with customers, working through complex problems with engineering and data science, sweating the details with design, and pushing releases over the line. We move fast, and we're looking for someone who generates momentum rather than waits for it.
What You'll Do
- Own big portions of the company roadmap. Synthesize customer needs, market dynamics, data science capabilities, and company strategy into a clear, prioritized plan for your areas, and be accountable for delivering it.
- Lead large, complex experiences from concept to execution. Take ambitious product bets from ambiguous idea to shipped, adopted product. You are the driver: framing the problem, aligning the team, making the calls, and unblocking execution daily.
- Work directly with customers. Spend real time with the brands and agencies who use Northbeam, through calls, onsites, and betas, to understand their measurement problems firsthand and translate that understanding into product decisions.
- Drive AI into the core of the product. Champion how AI reshapes marketing measurement, from agentic analysis and natural-language insights to model-driven recommendations, and ship AI capabilities that create real customer value, not demos.
- Partner deeply with Design. We're a design-led org. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with design leadership to ensure everything we ship is not just powerful but genuinely great to use.
- Own product quality for your launches. Define and run the user acceptance testing process for everything you ship. You set the quality bar, decide when something is ready for customers, and make sure the team catches problems before customers do.
- Run rigorous product development sprints. Scope MVPs, rigorously prioritize stories, define roll-out plans, and test before launch. You run the operating rhythm for the initiatives you lead.
- Equip our go-to-market teams for your launches. Own the relationship with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success for the products you lead: arm them with playbooks, help shape client messaging, provide release details, and jump in to troubleshoot when issues come up.
- Collaborate across the company. Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Customer Success to align teams behind your roadmap and keep execution honest.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years in product management at a B2B SaaS company, operating at a senior level and shipping products with significant scope and complexity.
- Fluency in marketing measurement. You can hold your own with both data scientists and performance marketers. You understand how attribution works — MTA, MMM, incrementality testing, pixel and server-side tracking, platform APIs, and the privacy constraints reshaping all of it — and you know where each method breaks down and why. Most people who clear this bar come from ad tech, martech, or measurement, but you may also come from a product analytics or eCommerce background.
- A track record on data-heavy products. You've shipped products built on large-scale data pipelines, analytics, or ML models, and you're comfortable making product decisions that involve statistical nuance and data quality tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated experience building with AI. You've shipped AI-powered product capabilities (LLM features, agents, ML-driven workflows) and have a strong, practical point of view on where AI creates durable value.
- A driver's mentality. You default to action, push relentlessly toward solutions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where the roadmap moves in weeks, not quarters. Ambiguity energizes you.
- Expert in the craft of product. You write specs and PRDs that teams treat as the standard, run customer calls that get to the real problem, and dig into the data yourself to pressure-test your own assumptions.
- A first-principles problem solver. You break down hard, messy problems, form a hypothesis, and test your way to answers.
- Customer obsession. You build conviction from direct customer contact, not secondhand summaries, and you enjoy working directly with clients to understand and deliver on their needs.
- Experience partnering closely with design. You've worked shoulder-to-shoulder with designers and design leadership, and you believe great product experiences are built with design, not handed off to it.
- BS degree required; an engineering, computer science, or data science background is strongly preferred.

Our VP of Product, co-founders (CEO and CTO), VP of Data Science, VP and Director of Engineering, and Chief Product & Design Officer are all Bay Area-based, and you'll get to work closely with them in person. For a role this senior, that access matters.

Interview Process
The interview process varies by role but typically begins with a 30-minute interview with a Northbeam recruiter, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager.
