Are you a creative and strategic storyteller with a passion for crafting impactful content? Northmarq is seeking a talented Content Writer to help shape our brand and communicate our unique position within the CRE industry.
 
You will play a pivotal role in telling Northmarq’s story. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, align with and help define our brand voice, and craft high-quality content across various formats and channels. From advertising copy and marketing materials to in-depth thought leadership articles and blogs, you’ll create content that educates, engages and strengthens our client community. A deep understanding of the CRE industry, our business and the competitive landscape will be vital to your success.
 
This newly created role offers an incredible opportunity to not only contribute meaningful content to Northmarq’s clients and stakeholders, but also to influence how the position evolves, leaving a lasting impact on our team and the way we tell our story.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation:
    • Write short-form and long-form content for advertising, brochures, presentations, events, websites, social media, blogs and thought leadership.
    • Create insightful and client-centric narratives that align with Northmarq’s objectives and messaging.
  • Research & Strategy:
    • Interview subject matter experts and transform complex ideas into persuasive marketing and compelling educational content.
    • Research industry trends, competitors and client needs to inform content strategy.
    • Leverage SEO best practices to optimize web content.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with communications, public relations, design and digital marketing teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across media.
    • Build relationships with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with market insights and business goals.
    • Synthesize input and feedback from contributors and align stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and adjust to shifting priorities.
    • Ensure transparency and workflow efficiency using internal project management tools.
  • Quality & Brand Alignment:
    • Ensure all content meets Northmarq’s standards for accuracy, tone and brand integrity.
    • Align content production with Northmarq’s writing style guide and work with communications team to maintain and enhance guide.
    • Approach sensitive topics with caution, safeguarding Northmarq’s reputation.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of relevant experience developing content within the CRE industry, at a commercial real estate brokerage or agency.
    • Experience crafting both action-oriented marketing materials and thought leadership content that performs and encourages customer engagement.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing, English or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong research and data interpretation skills, with the ability to convey abstract concepts clearly.
    • Proficient in internet research and SEO techniques.
    • Outstanding communication skills, including active listening, tact and consulting abilities.
    • Adept at managing ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative team player and proactive problem-solver who anticipates challenges and delivers solutions.
    • Agile with priorities; able to shift to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and evolving organization.
