This position provides strategic and operational leadership for one or more teams within the Servicing Operations department. The Senior Manager is responsible for hiring, developing, and leading leaders and teams across multiple functional areas within Operations. This position plays a key role in shaping and delivering operational strategies, driving performance and development, and aligning team goals with company objectives. The Senior Manager also acts as the primary liaison for onboarding new or expanded servicing relationships with lender clients, managing cross-functional project teams through implementation. A strong industry presence and active participation in external events and networks are expected. As Northmarq evolves, additional responsibilities may be added to support company growth and scalability.
Essential Accountabilities:
Organization & Strategic Execution
- Develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives aligned with company and servicing goals.
- Represent Servicing Operations in cross-functional projects, industry events, and client onboarding engagements.
- Lead and manage the successful onboarding of new and expanded lender relationships, acting as project sponsor and cross-functional liaison.
- Monitor key metrics and operational benchmarks to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and outcomes to strengthen the client and employee experience.
- Support the Director of Operations with departmental planning, communications, and strategic efforts.
Team & People Leadership
- Oversee multiple managers, each leading their own functional area, providing strategic guidance and day-to-day support.
- Coach and mentor leadership staff to build competencies in strategic thinking, collaboration, change leadership, and operational effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
- Lead succession planning efforts and ensure teams are positioned to support scale and growth.
- Participate in and lead performance reviews, development planning, and team-wide communication efforts.
- Support the team with day-to-day operations and approvals as needed.
Operational Excellence & Industry Presence
- Actively engage with industry groups, peers, and clients to stay informed on trends and represent Northmarq’s interests.
- Maintain deep knowledge of commercial loan servicing operations, industry best practices, and client expectations.
- Serve as an internal advisor on operational risk mitigation, client service standards, and systems performance.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external stakeholders to enhance the overall servicing platform.
- Contribute to procedural development and strategic planning initiatives to increase efficiency and clarity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in commercial real estate servicing, operations, or equivalent function. Proven track record of managing leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership in guiding managers and operational teams through strategic initiatives and change.
- Strong understanding of commercial loan servicing, systems, risk management, and client servicing best practices.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, communicate effectively, and develop high-performing teams.
- Recognized for executive presence, strategic problem-solving, and delivering results through others.
- Occasional overnight travel required (Average 2–4 times per year)
- Attendance at company-related events or outings (2–4 times per year)

Minnesota Residents: Northmarq carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Senior Manager, Operations position is $115,000.00 to $140,000.00 annually. This range is a good faith estimate and the actual compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
