Northmarq is seeking a Business Transformation Manager to join the Business Transformation team within the Loan Servicing department at their Minneapolis, MN (Bloomington, MN) headquarters office. This is an opportunity for a creative problem solver to join a dynamic team with a wide variety of business-impactful responsibilities. These responsibilities provide innovation and support to the Northmarq Loan Servicing Business by collaborating with the IT team on business problems and new ideas, developing and testing against business requirements for new/improved technology, and leading the change management/rollout of new technology and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Bridge between IT Product team and business stakeholders to collectively design and enhance systems/processes to meet business needs. Facilitates the business-side application and adoption of new technologies to existing business processes.
  • In partnership with IT Business Analysts, facilitates the development of business requirements for translation to IT user stories, including the assessment of upstream and downstream business impacts. Mentors/guides other business stakeholders through this process. Liaises with other business stakeholders to solicit depth of process understanding or departmental nuance needed to fully articulate the business need and value communicated in the gathered requirements.
  • Works closely with development teams (internal and external) in all stages of process and system integration from helping gather user requirements, planning and executing user acceptance and production validation testing, to supporting implementation and maintenance.
  • Collaborates with IT & business partners to execute on change initiatives through management of user acceptance test case development and execution, product validation, development of training and training aids, and business readiness. Leads analysis, documentation, and dissemination of process changes and productivity gains.
  • Responsible for the development and coordination of business readiness activities including Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, training activities, forms, correspondence, reporting, and communications.
  • Problem solve business issues relating to business process execution and technology limitations, engaging other areas as needed. Analyze/recommend process changes & technology enhancements for improvement and/or resolution.
  • Leverages detailed knowledge of how business process needs are met by each existing IT system and contributes ideas/recommendations for improvement, through process change and/or technology enhancement. Provides business expertise on available technologies and processes to improve quality, customer satisfaction, and cost performance.
  • Ensures that processes and related systems meet all applicable compliance requirements.
  • Appropriately communicates status updates, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items.
  • Coordinates activities and collaborates with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • May take part in multiple project activities simultaneously, while working with internal and external cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial industry, banking, real estate, or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, or related field/work experience
  • 1+ years of contributions to technology-focused initiatives

Demonstrated Technical and Professional Competencies:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving combined with sound judgment when assessing solutions and their necessary components.
  • Proven track record of working with internal & external partners to optimize technology solutions in an efficient and productive manner.
  • History of supporting and translating business needs into technical requirements/user stories.
  • Understanding and experience with supporting UAT.
  • Making thoughtful, creative, and timely decisions after analyzing situations.
  • The ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Experience in business process designs and facilitation.

Northmarq carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Business Transformation Manager position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually plus bonus and full benefits offered. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
