REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for a lead problem solver—someone who approaches data like a detective, chasing down the root cause of business challenges and turning insights into action. As Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll set the vision for how data powers decision-making across the company. You’ll tackle ambiguous questions, uncover hidden patterns, and lead a high-performance remote team to turn analysis into real-world impact.

Some of what you will be doing includes:

Leadership & Vision: Break down complex, high-impact business problems—like shifts in customer behavior or changes in product performance—and use data to get to the truth. Translate vague questions into clear, structured analyses that drive action.

Execution & Impact: Use data to solve high-impact business problems, structure ambiguous questions into clear analyses, and ensure insights translate into concrete actions. Work cross-functionally to diagnose challenges like customer retention trends and drive meaningful improvements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Use data to guide strategy and operations. Partner with teams across the company to improve customer retention, optimize marketing performance, reduce risk, and grow revenue.

Remote Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a distributed data team, ensuring accountability and motivation. Set clear success metrics, foster collaboration, and address performance challenges effectively.

The skills required for this role:

  • Proven experience in leading data teams and developing a company-wide data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of using data to drive high-impact decisions.

Ability to navigate ambiguous business questions and structure analyses that lead to actionable insights.

  • Experience effectively communicating data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executives with varying levels of data literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust in data and handle disagreements, including when insights contradict leadership’s assumptions.
  • Expertise in managing and motivating remote teams, setting clear expectations, and measuring success.
  • Strong prioritization skills, balancing speed and accuracy when executing on data initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure, analytics tools, and best practices in scaling a data function within a fast-paced environment.

BENEFITS

As a valuable member of North One’s team, you’ll get:

  • Family coverage of top-tier health/dental benefits: Get the right coverage for what matters most.
  • Remote-first work: You decide where you work. You can work from home, visit one of our in-person hubs, or work while you travel.
  • Professional development budget: Enjoy an annual budget to deepen your expertise
  • Unlimited paid time off: We measure success around outcomes, not hours worked.
  • Powerful gear: We’ll make sure you have the right tech to do your best work.

Few people have been trained for this sort of role, and research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply if they haven’t satisfied every requirement. If you are this close to what we’ve described, but aren’t sure, apply. Let’s figure out together if this is where you could shine.

North One is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and celebrates diversity. We welcome all applicants regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability status or national origin.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
