Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm MST
Compensation: $52-62,400k/year

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Recovery Technician Supervisor is responsible for assisting with facility operations, championing on-boarding efforts of new staff and ongoing training efforts for all staff, attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients, and working with a multidisciplinary treatment team in accordance with policy and procedure, to provide the best possible patient care. In this supervisory role this position is responsible for auditing, training, and managing Recovery Tech processes and compliance with all of the following; observation checks for all shifts, facility checklists, room cleanliness and safety, patient transportation, patient and belongings search, patient consents, and admissions processes. This position plays an important role in the implementation of programming and care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care that complies with Northpoint policies and procedures for unlicensed staff. This person will also serve as the subject matter expert on the Rec Tech role. This position will actively support the structure of the milieu through appropriate resource allocation and supervision of patients. The Recovery Technician Supervisor works in a variety of settings throughout the week, including onsite at the facility and other community activities as directed by the Clinical Director.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Facilitate and support new hire training efforts to ensure they receive the appropriate training and education needed, compliance with policies and procedures, and the safety and wellbeing of patients
- Identify opportunities to train and develop Recovery Tech staff to improve moral, efficiency, safety, patient wellbeing, experience, and outcomes
- Manage schedules, coverage and team needs
- Safely transport patients in Company provided vehicle
- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
- Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
- Timely completion and accuracy of paperwork, including daily logs and forms
- Solely responsible to complete and manage observation checks for all shifts on a regular basis
- Maintain and assist with development of daily schedule and program structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times, and others outside of normal programming hours
- Function as a member of the treatment team and provide patient observation rounds, and consistent monitoring of patient’s activities and behaviors during scheduled shift
- Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro-social and coping skills
- Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep, and assist with tasks and audits to aid in TJC, State, and Federal compliance initiatives
- Provide on floor assistance due to call outs/changing staff needs and as requested
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
- Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions; document timely and accurately according to established policies and procedures
- Assist in orientation of new patient admissions
- Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families
- Participate in the inventory process and monitor delegated vendor supplies
- Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating professional attitude, language, and communication
- Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
- Document information regarding client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures
- Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients in an effort to maintain personal safety while also ensuring safety for the clients, and other individuals in the program
- Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- 2+ years of management experience required
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients
- Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
- Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
- Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct Supervisor for all recovery technician’s
- Bi-Weekly completion of accurate time card submissions
- Maintain schedule and appropriate staffing levels for safe patient care
- Creates and conducts performance reviews
- Manages all related performance concerns
- Troubleshooting day to day needs and escalating timely and appropriately
