Overview

North Point Technology is hiring an on-site IT / Plant Floor Support Specialist to act as the primary technical resource inside a manufacturing facility.

This role supports both office IT and plant-floor systems, ensuring operations stay up and running.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the on-site IT owner for the facility
• Respond to and resolve day-to-day technical issues
• Support both office users and plant-floor personnel
• Keep systems running to avoid operational downtime

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, and workstations
• Set up and deploy new user machines
• Support printers, scanners, and plant-floor devices
• Diagnose and resolve basic network/connectivity issues
• Provide hands-on support for industrial PCs and terminals
• Install, replace, and maintain hardware onsite
• Coordinate with centralized IT teams for escalations

What You Need

• Strong hands-on IT troubleshooting experience
• Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting end-user devices and plant-floor systems
• Basic networking knowledge and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work directly with operators and engineers

Reality of the Role

This is a hands-on, onsite role. You’ll be walking the floor, fixing issues in real time, and keeping both office and production environments running.
