We are looking for an Sales Representative - Renewals & Cloud Sales Specialist to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.  

In This Role

In this role, you will support Education customers through their full licensing and cloud renewal lifecycle. You will manage renewals, identify growth opportunities, and engage customers early to understand their business needs. You will also execute cloud migration and modernization conversations, leverage digital signals for customer acquisition, and collaborate with internal specialists and partners to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. Your success will directly impact revenue retention, cloud adoption, and overall customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

Renew & Grow (Renewals Motion)

  • Engage Education customers to understand business needs and recommend the best licensing models.
  • Lead end-to-end renewal execution, ensuring agreements are renewed on or before expiration.
  • Begin renewal planning at T-13 and transition to customer-facing upsell/cross-sell conversations at T-12.
  • Conduct infrastructure and solution reviews to identify modernization and cloud opportunities.
  • Follow required engagement processes and collaborate closely with Licensing Solution Partners.
  • Maintain accurate data hygiene in all systems and renewal tracking tools.

Cloud Migration & Modernization (Cloud Growth Motion)

  • Demonstrate cloud capabilities and ROI to support customer purchasing decisions.
  • Drive migration of existing licensing to cloud-based solutions while identifying upsell and cross-sell paths.
  • Activate solution plays under Optimize, Secure, and Prepare motions to support scalable cloud adoption.
  • Follow approved promotional and outreach guidelines before contacting customers.

Signal-Based Customer Acquisition

  • Act on digital inbound leads (“Priority 0” signals) received through centralized demand channels.
  • Handle hand-raiser requests, contact-me forms, and tele-qualified leads with speed and professionalism.
  • Adhere to documented communication standards and playbooks for customer outreach.
  • Ensure all unique or updated processes are captured and posted to the secure team channel.

Rules of Engagement

  • Align to engagement expectations, communication strategy, and feedback loops outlined in ROE.
  • Follow SLAs, escalation paths, and collaboration norms across teams.
  • Execute proper handover processes including required tool updates and minimum criteria.

Role-Specific Expectations

Sales Agent (CLM)

  • Serve as the customer-facing generalist who initiates engagement and brings in specialists as needed.

Renewal Specialist

  • Lead the renewal process end-to-end, ensuring accurate, timely deal closure.
  • Qualify leads to opportunity stage (~40%) and secure customer commitment to explore renewal options.
  • Coordinate customers, partners, licensing teams, and program managers to drive renewal strategy.
  • Ensure compliance and proper documentation; maintain high-quality data in all systems.

Licensing Associate

  • Support licensing structure, pricing questions, upsell/cross-sell scenarios, and program migrations.
  • Validate that renewal constructs meet internal policy and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Renewal Specialists, partners, and program management teams to finalize deals.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time in a high-volume environment.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and solution-based selling.
  • Experience handling customer-facing interactions and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency using CRM or sales tracking tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in licensing, renewals, customer acquisition, or inside sales.
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, subscription models, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in Education sector sales or public sector sales environments.
  • Ability to interpret customer digital signals, lead qualification, and pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of structured renewal frameworks and lifecycle engagement processes.
  • Prior work in a structured, metrics-driven sales environment with SLAs and KPIs.

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $21.63 - $24.04 USD/HR. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
