In This Role

As a Front-End Engineer, you will help deliver engaging, high-quality web experiences by implementing new features, resolving defects, and refining user interfaces. Working as part of a small, collaborative engineering team, you'll translate design specifications into polished, production-ready applications while maintaining a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and code quality. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building pixel-perfect interfaces, solving UI challenges, and contributing to modern web applications in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality front-end features and enhancements.
  • Develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, and production-ready user interfaces.
  • Translate Figma designs and interaction specifications into pixel-perfect implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects while minimizing regressions through thorough testing.
  • Extend and maintain existing design systems and front-end frameworks.
  • Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding, quality, accessibility, and security standards.
  • Track work and communicate progress using project management tools.
  • Implement telemetry, performance monitoring, and error tracking where applicable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in front-end architecture, tooling, and development practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of professional front-end development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern web standards.
  • Experience building responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces from design specifications.
  • Experience with React and familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue, Angular, Svelte, or Solid.js.
  • Experience working with HTML Canvas and interactive web applications.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON data integration, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with Node.js, npm, Git, Visual Studio Code, and modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
  • Knowledge of the full web development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and front-end performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing pixel-perfect UI across multiple browsers, screen sizes, and locales.
  • Experience developing single-page applications, including routing and state management.
  • Experience with JSX/TSX and reusable component-based architecture.
  • Knowledge of CSS animations and transitions.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x AA), including semantic HTML, ARIA, and focus management.
  • Experience developing interactive web or browser-based games.
  • Knowledge of touch input optimization and mobile interaction patterns.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing front-end performance.
  • Familiarity with web security concepts such as XSS and CSRF mitigation.
  • Experience with C#/.NET is a plus.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

 

Salary Range 

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $90000 to $100,000 USD annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
