Australia

Organisational Psychology Placement with Nous Group

Are you a Master of Organisational or Industrial Psychology student eager to make a real impact? Join Nous Group, a leading international management consultancy, where your work will not only transform businesses, governments, and communities but also set you on a path to a successful consulting career. In this placement, you'll dive into real projects, gain invaluable consulting skills, and take ownership of tasks that matter. Whether it's shaping health system leadership strategies, re-designing educational frameworks, or driving cultural change in financial services, your work will make a tangible difference.

We’ve designed an opportunity to help you learn key consulting skills and expand your knowledge. Allocated to real client projects, interns take ownership of tasks whilst being supported through a collaborative team environment. Nous is committed to supporting our interns learning, with the conclusion of the internship ideally resulting in a permanent position – we are looking for interns who are interested in a consulting career.

We offer part time positions for students engaged in tertiary studies where opportunities can be tailored to meet course requirements. Placement project work will vary based on the timing of each placement, however, students can expect to be involved in projects that relate to our organisational performance and leadership business offers, including:

  • Organisational design & operating model
  • Transformation
  • Leadership development & assessment
  • People strategy
  • Culture change
  • Learning
  • Talent management

Nous is looking for placement students who are:

  • Masters of Organisational or Industrial Psychology students
  • enthusiastic, curious and willing to learn
  • intelligent and academically accomplished – a distinction average or above is essential
  • able to undertake structured analyses in a logical and efficient manner
  • able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • comfortable working autonomously and in a self-managed way, using initiative to draw on the expertise of those around you
  • able to analyse and process qualitative and quantitative data.

Due to the fast-paced nature of consulting, you will ideally have completed one or two placements or have experience working in a corporate environment. This has proven to support a better placement experience for Nous and the student.
