Helpdesk Technician
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are excited to announce an opening for a Helpdesk Technician in office position in Houston, TX. This part-time job, 20-30 hours a week, available Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts, is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop environment. The Helpdesk Technician will support PCs, laptops, telephones, printers, and other peripherals, both locally and remotely. Additionally, this position involves network connectivity support, participation in various projects, and effective use of the Helpdesk system for logging, tracking, and resolving technical support issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Resolve user-submitted IT work tickets using the ticketing system
- Responsible for end-user hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ensure inventory management and other internal policies are followed
- Responsible for coordination with other service teams for incident resolution and request provisioning
- Manage and complete projects as requested by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), including strong telephone skills
- Strong PC and typing skills, including work within client/server and/or web-based ticket-logging systems
- MS Office Experience
- Project management skills - Ability to work without close supervision while ensuring that tasks are completed effectively and consistently
- Ability to work shifts, have some flexibility in terms of scheduling, and be open to the possibility of overtime opportunities
- Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of twenty-five pounds
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting pays $23/hour
- Hourly, non-exempt
- 401(k) plan with employer match
Work Location/Hours:
- Must work in our Houston, TX office at 10777 Northwest Freeway Suite 440
- Must be authorized to work for any US employer
- 20+ hour work week; must work a regular, consistent schedule
- Must work each day, Monday through Friday (4-5 hours per day)
