WHAT YOUR SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE...

6 months...

You've helped several customers develop their e-commerce business. Now you're part of the 360 team planning a complete redesign for our new client. Already a specialist in several web technologies, you now know how to apply this expertise to the Novatize context. Whether front-end or back-end, you're comfortable with good development practices, and you make sure that everything Novatize touches is synonymous with quality. You now act as a technical coach to your teammates.

12 months...

You're now the developer responsible for a complete redesign. You've helped improve our CI/CD and deployment processes. You've explored various new technologies in the world of e-commerce, and you're passing on the benefits to your colleagues via lunch-and-learns, and ultimately to your customers by offering them cutting-edge service. In collaboration with your team leader, you'll ensure that Novatize has an evolution and growth plan that meets your needs.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as lead developer on redesign and support projects;
  • Integrate UI/UX functional mock-ups into various e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, Salesforce, others);
  • Develop backend modules using various frameworks such as PHP and Javascript;
  • Participate in the strategic thinking behind the design of e-commerce platforms;
  • Act as a technical coach to your colleagues, enabling them to benefit from your expertise;
  • Follow best and latest development practices;
  • Perform quality control on your colleagues' code;
  • Optimizing performance is key in e-commerce;
  • Put the fruits of your labor into production;Use your expertise to provide project completion time estimates;
  • Keep up to date with the latest web technologies and trends.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Experience in developing responsive and mobile-first web solutions;
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and at least one popular library (Vue.js, Angular, React, etc.);
  • Proficiency in PHP or another object-oriented programming language;
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL/MariaDB;Good knowledge of Git, Yarn and NPM;
  • Experience with Grunt or GulpExperience with development frameworks (Agile, Kanban, etc.).

STRENGTHS

  • Experience with Shopify, Magento or other modern e-commerce platform;
  • Experience with a popular PHP framework (Symfony, Laravel, ...);
  • Experience with Liquid (Shopify Templating Language) or HandlebarExperience with the most popular CMS;
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence);
  • Experience with DevOPSBilingualism.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 2 to 5 years' experience with Javascript (or libraries such as React, Angular, etc.);
  • 2 to 5 years experience with CSS and modern HTML as well as SASS or LESS;
  • 2 to 5 years' experience with PHP (or similar OOP language);
  • Resourceful, autonomous and versatile;
  • Creative and curious;
  • Attention to detail, ergonomics and aesthetics.
