Mission Focus: We are seeking a versatile and skilled Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our hybrid IT infrastructure spanning Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The ideal candidate will serve as the administrator for our SAP BusinessObjects platform on Windows servers and possess solid troubleshooting knowledge. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our enterprise systems and business intelligence platforms in support of the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.

 

Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance required to start.

Location/Flexibility: Vienna, VA with some remote flexibility. Travel to Norfolk, VA required on occasion.

 

Responsibilities:

Windows Server Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Administer patch management, updates, and system hardening.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.

SAP Business Objects Administration:

  • Administer the SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Business Intelligence platform (e.g., BI 4.2/4.3).
  • Manage users, groups, security, folders, and access rights within the Central Management Console (CMC).
  • Monitor and tune BOBJ services, servers, and job scheduling.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and deployment of universes and reports.
  • Troubleshoot report performance and connectivity issues with underlying databases.

General / Cross-Functional:

  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in patching, upgrades, and other routine maintenance activities.
  • Ensure work aligns with DoD security policies and federal IT standards.
  • Monitor services with log aggregations, automated analysis, reporting, and alerting in support of incident detection and response.

 Qualifications: 

  • Location: Must be located in or near (or willing to relocate) to Washington, DC or Norfolk, VA.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel to Norfolk, VA as needed.
  • Clearance: Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance.
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience administering Windows Server & SAP Business Objects.
  • Hands-on experience administering SAP Business Objects platform.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project and task planning include scope of work, time estimation, and resource assignment.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify, mitigate, and/or solve system challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, and create consensus.
  • MS Office suite proficiency, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to provide clear, accurate, and simple explanations of technical procedures and processes to audiences of varying degrees of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliance (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible) and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience/Knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Nutanix) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
  • Experience/knowledge of application deployment methodologies using GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and JBoss Servers.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
  • Knowledge or interest in cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments).
  • Experience with Linux - Red Hat Administration.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.

Certification Requirements:

  • Must have CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140-equivalent certification.
  • Must have Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Certification
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BOBI) Certification is desired

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

The pay range listed for this position reflects the wage or salary range NT Concepts expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. The compensation offered to a successful candidate within this range will be based on legitimate, job-related factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate's work location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

 

Virginia Pay Range

$77,280 - $117,300 USD
