Overview:

nTop is hiring for a Senior Onboarding Engineer. This role will be critical in helping our customers achieve success and initial value by facilitating a training curriculum that enables them to execute applications and workflows that are specific to their goals. This role will work collaboratively with Customer Success Managers, Solutions Engineers, Sales Reps, Application Engineers, Product, etc. to help drive the voice of the customer into everything we do at nTop. 

This role can be based in Germany or the United Kingdom, and reports to the Director of Customer Success. 

What You’ll Do:

  • This role will be primarily focused on and responsible for onboarding nTop customers in the EMEA region, including managing software training sessions and application (use case) specific workshops
  • You will be responsible for carrying out training sessions based on pre-developed curriculum, as well as recommending training sessions that help our customers achieve their desired outcomes (both 1-to-many and 1-to-1)
  • As an nTop platform expert, you will help enable our customers by clearly demonstrating how to execute nTop applications, as well as answering any customer questions  
  • Be an integral part of driving performance for TTFV (time to first value) and platform adoption (usage) 
  • Help drive retention and growth among our customers by understanding their business and technical needs, and using that to drive an effective onboarding experience 
  • Leverage CRM tools reporting in order to track and manage customers’ onboarding experiences
  • Drive the product feedback loop from customers via tracking tools and internal collaboration during the onboarding stage in order to support VOC initiatives
  • Curate and develop technical content on our LMS (Learning Management System) and the nTop Learning Center
  • Work with customers directly for hands on application development in the software 
  • Up to 10% of travel for onsite customer engagements and/or trade shows

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry, industrial and/or high performance automotive, with a background in design optimization on real programs — bringing real-world insight into complex, high-stakes operational workflows 
  • A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering or similar, plus 3+ years of accomplished industrial experience (highly-relevant doctoral degrees can be substituted for three years)
  • Strong proficiency in parametric modeling and 3D CAD
  • Fluent in Python / MATLAB
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design optimization & surrogate modeling / inverse design
  • 5+ years of experience working in an engineering or design role
  • Customer-focused, enthusiastic, positive, and service oriented attitude with a strong understanding of engineering software or experience in a technical environment and experience working with large enterprise customers
  • A passion for teaching, and ability to clearly communicate and demonstrate complex concepts
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented
  • Exceptional relational intelligence that enables you to guide customers through the onboarding process, effectively reading their concerns, adapting communication styles to different stakeholders, and transforming potentially complex technical challenges or learning hurdles into positive outcomes
  • Results-driven mentality, self-starter with a bias for speed and action
  • Comfortable in a startup environment where we move quickly and wear many hats in a dynamic setting

Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience with FEA/CFD concepts and how to apply them to real life engineering problems (i.e Heat Exchangers and Aircraft Design)
  • Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, Fluent, Nastran, LS-Dyna and engineering and CAD software such as Solidworks, Catia, Matlab, etc.
  • Prior experience with nTop
  • Working knowledge of additive manufacturing and other advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights. Experience with Excel preferred
  • Prior experience with a managing a learning management system 
  • Proficiency with Javascript, HTML/CSS, or Adobe CS

Compensation:

  • €85000- €95000 annually
