NTT DATA is looking for high-achieving team players that are quickly adaptable to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for a Production Control Analyst to work 100% onsite in Orange, CT with our global client.
Job Overview:
The Production Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring seamless production operations by managing and maintaining production schedules using automated scheduling tools. This role involves implementing test elements into production, monitoring batch environments, troubleshooting issues, and proactively improving processes. The Analyst will collaborate with various IT teams and serve as a vital member of the production support team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain production schedules using tools such as UC4 (Automation Engine), Autosys, and Control-M.
- Maintain the integrity of production JCL libraries and implement test JCL members into production.
- Move test elements into production within required timeframes.
- Schedule off-hours production requests and manage schedule information.
- Use software tools to enhance system performance and monitor production batch environments.
- Develop and adhere to Production Support standards and procedures.
- Independently manage assigned projects related to Production Support.
- Provide technical assistance to applications and computer operations teams.
- Analyze root causes and implement permanent resolutions to production failures.
- Implement changes related to report distribution software.
- Assume department responsibilities in the absence of the Production Control Manager.
- Collaborate on troubleshooting scheduling tool outages with other IT teams and understand tool architecture.
- Work with complex job streams or workflows to identify and resolve problems.
- Utilize Windows, UNIX, and basic scripting knowledge (bash or batch).
- Integrate automation tools with business applications such as SAP and ERP.
- Schedule or execute SAP transports as required.
- Understand and automate new business requirements.
- Plan for and manage scheduled system outages.
- Maintain annual calendars and batch parameters.
- Ensure nightly critical batch metrics are met.
- Comply with audit requirements and maintain necessary documentation.
- Respond to queries and document new and existing implementations.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
- Continuously improve processes, reduce job failures, and find effective solutions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in system architecture and/or system administration and/or data projects maintenance.
- Experience with Microstrategy, Power BI, Cognos, and/or Informatica PC.
- Experience with Agile management philosophy implemented in Scrum framework.
- Experience with leading and mentoring teams.
- Microsoft Certified in Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-200 & 201), Azure Data Engineer (DP-203), or Azure Synapse Analytics (DP-3012-A).
- Strong oral, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Eagerness to learn new tools and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude with a commitment to excellence.
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in Autosys or CA Automic (Automation Engine, UC4), or both. Alternatives include Control-M and Stonebranch.
- Shift Requirements: The role may require shifts starting at 5:30 AM or ending past midnight, with occasional weekend work.
- On-Call Availability: Must be available for on-call support and day-to-day operational tasks.
- Key Traits: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to participate in corrective/preventive actions for problem management.
- Preferred Location: Candidates located in Orange, CT are preferred, but positions are available in other listed locations.
