- Define roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders involved in production releases, including project teams, application teams, operations, infrastructure, SAP teams, business representatives, and support teams.
- Determine who needs to support production deployments, who is authorized to execute production changes, and when each deployment activity should take place.
- Coordinate release planning and execution across business and technical teams.
- Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, deployment planning, and post-release follow-up.
- Ensure alignment between Release Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Project Management, and operational support processes.
- Provide guidance and best practices for SAP-related releases, while ensuring the process remains applicable to non-SAP technologies as well.
- Act as the central point of contact for Release Management governance, process adoption, and stakeholder coordination.
- Identify opportunities to improve release predictability, quality, control, and operational efficiency.
