The Release Management process will need to support different types of changes, projects, deployment scenarios, and technology platforms, including SAP as a key area of focus. This role is ideal for a senior profile with strong Release Management experience, capable of defining, implementing, and governing an end-to-end Release Management process from scratch across multiple technologies, project types, and business change scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and document different release process variants depending on the type of change, project, criticality, technology, and deployment risk.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders involved in production releases, including project teams, application teams, operations, infrastructure, SAP teams, business representatives, and support teams.
  • Determine who needs to support production deployments, who is authorized to execute production changes, and when each deployment activity should take place.
  • Coordinate release planning and execution across business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, deployment planning, and post-release follow-up.
  • Ensure alignment between Release Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Project Management, and operational support processes.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for SAP-related releases, while ensuring the process remains applicable to non-SAP technologies as well.
  • Act as the central point of contact for Release Management governance, process adoption, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to improve release predictability, quality, control, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Service Management, IT Project Management, or Program Delivery.
  • Proven experience defining and implementing Release Management processes and governance models in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of production change management, deployment planning, release readiness, approval workflows, and operational controls.
  • Experience working across multiple technologies, platforms, projects, and stakeholder groups.
  • Solid SAP experience, including understanding of SAP release cycles, transports, environments, dependencies, and production deployment considerations.
  • Ability to design practical process variants for different types of releases, changes, and implementation scenarios.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align business, IT, project, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain governance, process requirements, risks, and decisions clearly.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in global, multi-team, and multi-vendor environments.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
