NTT DATA is looking for high-achieving team players that are quickly adaptable to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for a HR Operations Specialist to work in onsite (2 days per week) in Costa Rica.

Overview:

We’re seeking an HR Operations Specialist to join an exciting opportunity to support the day-to-day management of HR operations. This role works closely with internal HR teams and client stakeholders to manage requests, maintain accurate tracking, and deliver high-quality service across multiple business areas. The position offers hands-on exposure to a dynamic, client-facing environment with opportunities to improve processes and drive operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for BID Invest + IDB, serving as a liaison between client stakeholders and internal HR teams.
  • Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle, performance, engagement, and training.
  • Partner with multiple business areas to understand needs and translate them into effective HR solutions.
  • Coordinate HR service delivery across internal teams (HR, payroll, operations) to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Monitor and ensure delivery against KPIs, SLAs, and service standards.
  • Manage and prioritize high-volume requests in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Support payroll processes through accurate data tracking and input coordination.
  • Maintain detailed trackers and documentation to manage HR processes and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Own day-to-day administrative HR operations with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies; recommend and support improvements to SOPs and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
  • Support transition, stabilization, and continuous improvement of HR operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist, or HR services roles.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role with strong stakeholder management.
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or functions simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage manual processes and detailed tracking systems.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to manage high-volume administrative work and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving processes or limited systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in consulting, BPO, shared services, outsourcing, or staffing environments.
  • Experience supporting HR transitions or service delivery models.
  • Knowledge of Costa Rica labor regulations.
