NTT DATA is looking for high-achieving team players that are quickly adaptable to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for a Business Analyst III to work onsite in Washington, DC with our global client.

Overview

The Salesforce Business Analyst is responsible for driving end-to-end business analysis across Salesforce implementation workstreams within the Phoenix project. The role bridges business needs and technology solutions—translating functional requirements into well-defined user stories, solution specifications, and acceptance criteria aligned with Salesforce platform capabilities.

The Business Analyst will operate with a high degree of autonomy across complex functional areas, collaborates closely with Product Owners and Solution Architects, and ensures that business requirements are clearly articulated, traceable, and delivered in alignment with program objectives.

Job Description:

Business Analysis & Requirement Elicitation

  • Lead engagement with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, epics, and features aligned with Salesforce capabilities.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with program scope and priorities.

Backlog Management & Refinement

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to define and maintain prioritized product backlogs.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions, ensuring stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for delivery.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical feasibility across Salesforce workstreams.

Solution Design Support

  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Teams to translate business requirements into solution designs.
  • Support decision-making on configuration vs. customization, ensuring optimal use of Salesforce out-of-the-box capabilities.
  • Validate that proposed solutions meet business requirements and comply with enterprise standards.

Agile Delivery Support

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Provide clarification to development teams throughout the sprint lifecycle.
  • Ensure continuous alignment between business expectations and delivery outcomes.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
  • Ensure clear communication of scope, requirements, and impacts of changes across stakeholders.

Testing & Validation

  • Define acceptance criteria and support development of test scenarios and test cases.
  • Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and ensure quality standards are met.

Traceability & Documentation

  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from business requirements through delivery and testing.
  • Produce and maintain key artifacts including:
    • Business requirement documents
    • Functional specifications
    • User stories and acceptance criteria
    • Process maps and workflows

Deliverables

The Salesforce Business Analyst is expected to produce and maintain:

  • Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Product backlog and backlog refinement outputs
  • Functional and business requirements documentation
  • Process flows, business workflows, and solution diagrams
  • UAT plans, test scenarios, and validation reports
  • Traceability matrices linking requirements to delivered functionality

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on Salesforce implementation
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities (Financial Services Cloud preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe delivery environments
  • Strong skills in requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and documentation
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar backlog management systems

  • Work closely with IFC Product Owners, Architects, and implementation partners
  • Support delivery across Salesforce workstreams and Phoenix pillars (Relationship Management, External Portal, Project Processing)
  • Enable alignment between business requirements and system design across releases
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices within the program

Tools & Technologies

  • Agile delivery tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent
  • Documentation tools for requirement and process modeling
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform architecture and configuration concepts

Experience Matrix for Levels:

  • Level III: 8+ years of experience
