Quality Control Manufacturing Technician
Nature’s Toolbox (NTx) in Rio Rancho, NM, is looking for a Quality Control (QC) Manufacturing Technician to join our QC team to support the manufacturing team to release our in-house enzymes, RNA as well as manufactured and released products in a controlled cleanroom environment.
The role of the QC Manufacturing Technician (QCMT) is to work directly with supply chain to release raw materials to support the manufacturing of NTxscribe® machine and cartridges including release of additional materials as needed. QCMT will also be responsible for performing factory acceptance testing for the NTxscribe® machine and cartridges according to the batch record to aid Quality Assurance to release product. The ideal candidate has experience working in a cleanroom, attention to detail, and an understanding of the stringent requirements of this environment.
Your Responsibilities
This role will be required to maintain the real-time manufacturing QC program:
- Cleanroom Protocols: Maintain cleanroom protocols at all times, including proper gowning, equipment handling, and material transfer to prevent contamination.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the testing process, ensuring proper calibration and function in line with the required standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming raw materials and component and assembled parts to ensure they meet specifications and identify any defects or issues. Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any discrepancies.
- Documentation: Record all processes, data, and deviations in accordance with company procedures and cleanroom documentation requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, assembly technicians, production supervisors, quality assurance, and other technicians to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvements in the assembly process.
- Inventory Management: Track and maintain inventory of tools, materials, and components to ensure efficient workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials, equipment, and chemicals (if applicable).
Your Education
Associate’s degree, or a combination of high school diploma with relevant experience.
Your Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Associate’s degree in science field or High School diploma or GED with previous experience in manufacturing.
- Experienced in regulated environment or Good Documentation Practices (GDP) a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO 7 Clean Room is a plus.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Good communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- The working environment is generally favorable and comprises a laboratory and office environment.
- Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate.
- Personal Protective Equipment is required where stated. This role requires working in a cleanroom environment, which involves wearing cleanroom garments (gown, gloves, face mask, etc.) and following strict cleanliness and contamination control measures.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and walk to the different lab areas.
- The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 20 lbs. of materials or equipment.
- Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and chemicals.
