Warehouse Manager

Rio Rancho, NM

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and staff supervision. This role ensures that all warehouse activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Your Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

  • Plan, organize, and manage warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Ensure timely receipt, storage, and distribution of products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and accuracy through cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Implement effective layout and space utilization strategies.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/Kanban).
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to forecast inventory needs.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of products.
  • Work with carriers and logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and minimize costs.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training.
  • Maintain and monitor warehouse equipment and facilities for safe operation.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, and manage warehouse staff.
  • Assign tasks, set schedules, and ensure team productivity and morale.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics.
  • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical environments (a plus).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools. NetSuite preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and logistics best practices.
  • Forklift certification (preferred).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • The working environment is generally favorable and comprises a warehouse, laboratory and office environment.
  • Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate.
  • Personal Protective Equipment is required where stated. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk to the different lab areas.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of materials or equipment.
  • Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and chemicals.
