About the role

Ensure the sustainable Nubank's growth supporting the regulatory analytical demands of KYC, EDD, Judicial Orders, etc; challenging the status quo through:

  • The best experience to our fanatics and loved clients in the KYC, EDD & Judicial Orders processes, keeping the highest level of quality for customer data and due diligence applicable accordingly to the regulators and internal policies;

Being diligent, flexible and resilient, according to Nu's principles!

What does a Regulatory Solutions analyst for Analytics do…

  • Builds dashboards, creating visualizations and identifying trends and deviations of indicators within temporal variations (historical and future)
  • Has knowledge of which tables to find data related to the operation (includes the daily usage and construction of dashboards using tools like Looker, Queries, Big Query, etc.) and correlates them in order to formulate hypotheses to be tested
  • Be able to write queries in SQL to solve highly complex problems in an optimized way
  • Programming experience with general-purpose languages (e.g. Python, Scala etc.)
  • Knowledge of different database modeling and architecture techniques for analytical purposes (e.g. Data Mart, Data Lake, Data Warehouse etc.)
  • Is able to generate relevant data based on root cause analysis without close guidance
  • Is fully aware and capable of defining processes to comply to different business, legal and customers' needs
  • Leads from a tactical perspective, guiding the team towards the business vision
  • Understands their BU strategy and uses it to prioritize their team's tasks and projects
  • Participates in the planning, strategy, implementation, monitoring and achievement of OKRs and operational KPIs, being able to explain results especially in case of non-achievement
  • Ability to abstract business concepts into quantitative metrics (e.g.. KPIs, OKRs etc.)
  • Aptly manages low and medium complexity projects, guaranteeing the agreed delivery timeline, delegating tasks effectively and communicating all stakeholders
  • Prioritizes effectively and achieves defined targets, adjusting priorities in response to changing circumstances
  • Creates documentation needed for projects
  • Is able to analyze data with the proper methodologies and design improvement projects based on them
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and provide guidance, makes recommendations, and/or escalates arising issues timely
  • Being passionate about new technologies such as AI

It will be a differential if you..

  • Has the ability to analyze large transactional datasets, interpret ambiguous situations, and work in a high growth and vibrant work environment.
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Software engineering or Statistics and strong quantitative analytical experience, including background with statistical modeling & analysis. Nice to have
  • This candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish and be willing to continue learning and loving Analytics, Machine Learning and Data Science

*Interviewing and onboarding are currently done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team and our current staff will remain working from home until it is safe to return to our offices. When it’s time, we will require a fixed cadence of visiting the office in which employees go to their Business Unit's (BU) base location. Employees will have an employment contract based on the cities that Nu’s offices are located, considering their country of hire. More details can be shared during your hiring process.
