  • Execute AML operational routines including but not limited to KYC, PEPs, Sanctions, Enhanced Due Diligence, FATCA/CRS (KYC Ops Team), Transactional Analysis (AML Ops Team), and Embargoes, contributing to a more ethical and fair society, truly understanding that compliant operations are a key driving force for the solid growth and development of Nubank.

To accomplish that, the RegSol - KYC Ops team is charged with safeguarding Nu against illegal activities related to ML/TF by executing the KYC + AML/CfT process, adhering to the required guidelines established by AML Governance, and ensuring the continuity of our business.

As a RegSol - KYC Ops Analyst, you're expected to:

  • Analyze PEP condition in prospects and customers with additional risks involved, such as negative news, risk industry, etc.;
  • Execute a robust KYC profile for higher-risk customers;
  • Collaborate in investigations and process reviews related to Screenings operational routines;
  • Analyze, escalate and support the resolution of requests/issues/errors to streamline processes related to KYC Screening routines;
  • Identify Onboarding/Ongoing regulatory challenges and opportunities and use analytical tools to solve them;
  • Build models/analysis to evaluate the efficiency of KYC/Onboarding processes as well as its regulatory adherence;
  • Escalate, discuss and support tasks involving enhancements and/or gaps related to analysis and routines of PEPs and/ or restricted lists and in general;
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of KYC, onboarding and ongoing processes from scratch.
  • Support the leaders in metrics and KPIs, facilitating the internal control environment of Ops queue;

We're looking for an experienced RegSol - KYC Ops Analyst Who Has

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years experience in KYC or AML alerts and/or in compliance areas in processes related to AML processes.
  • Previous experience in investigations related to AML and higher-risk customers (e.g., PEPs) analysis.
  • Experience/background in PEP, Sanctions, and restricted lists or AML topics;
  • Autonomy to make decisions that impact customers and Nu, based on AML policies.
  • Solid understanding of the specific regulations applicable to the KYC process following SARLAFT guidelines and expectations
  • Attention to detail, data-driven & results-oriented
  • Languages: Advanced or native Spanish speaker and upper-intermediate/advanced English
  • A solid analytical background is desired. Must be comfortable manipulating data. Programming is not required, but candidates need to display interest in learning basic data analysis skills (e.g., SQL)
  • Great communication skills; enjoys engaging in discussions with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia. 

Nubank continues to hire for all open roles, all interviewing and onboarding is done virtually. Everyone new to the team and our current staff will be working from home for 7-8 weeks and 1 at the office (Bogotá).
