About Our Team:
We seek a highly motivated and talented Analyst to join our Capital Management team, within the Asset and Liability Management squad. The Analyst will primarily focus on efficiently complying with the regulations and reports required by the CNBV and Banxico; the Analyst will also support the planning and forecasting capital process to optimize our financial resources, ensuring our company's sustainable growth and profitability. This role offers tremendous opportunities to keep gaining hands-on experience in capital management, acquiring more experience in prudential regulation matters and developing a robust financial planning and analysis foundation.
As an ALM Analyst, you’ll be expected to:
- Support the implementation of banking processes by defining and building the submission procedures required for regulatory report compliance.
- Prepare and review regulatory reports for Nu as a bank, ensuring all local regulatory requirements are met before submission.
- Define, assess and maintain proper controls and documentation for regulatory capital processes.
- Review data delivered by different owners, including Controllership, Treasury and the Risk Management Unit, to promptly address any issue, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
- Facilitate compliance with various regulatory requirements, including the development of contingency plans and support for the execution of stress test exercises.
- Conduct regular reviews of regulatory amendments to accurately interpret new rules, assess their impacts, and adjust necessary processes accordingly.
- Produce presentation materials for regulators and management meetings.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of capital management strategies, working closely with other areas of finance.
- Support the team in developing budgeting and capital forecasting.
We are looking for an ALM Analyst professional who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar.
- Professional experience of 4+ years working in financial institutions.
- Technical capital regulatory knowledge and ability to interpret regulations and improve current processes.
- Experience in financial modeling.
- Demonstrated experience with preparation and review of CNBV and Banxico regulatory reports.
- Advanced knowledge and use of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Advanced English level. Must be comfortable with oral and written communication.
- SQL, Python or Scala knowledge preferred or desire to learn.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex regulatory financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail. Ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
