About the position
We are looking for an IT Engineer to perform the role of IT Governance Analyst to play a strategic and hands-on role in supporting and evolving our IT Governance processes, with a primary focus on Change and Incident Management processes, metrics, automation, and operational efficiency.
We seek someone with an analytical mindset, technical knowledge of Jira, and familiarity with the ITIL and COBIT frameworks, who is able to communicate across different areas and implement improvements independently.
This person will play a key role in the structuring and monitoring of processes, supporting IT Governance in maintaining a smooth, standardized operation aligned with the department’s objectives.
Main responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and evolve the IT Governance framework, based on ITIL and COBIT;
- Lead the Change Management process, with a focus on quality and efficiency;
- Enhance the process within the Jira platform, designing and adjusting workflows as needed;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support operational efficiency;
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), and create dashboards and governance reports to monitor process health;
- Support the development of improvements involving CI/CD pipeline integration, when necessary;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and IT quality standards;
- Collaborate with various teams and both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity in actions.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in IT Governance with a focus on Change and Incident Management, especially in environments under development or transformation;
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of ITIL v4 and COBIT frameworks;
- Hands-on experience with ITSM tools, especially Jira Service Management – both as a user and in configuring workflows, fields, automations, and dashboards;
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their impact on production environments;
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain continuous improvement and quality processes;
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, such as EazyBI, Quicksight and Looker;
- Generalist profile, able to navigate between strategic tasks (e.g., process design, improvements, KPI definition, stakeholder meetings) and operational tasks (e.g., support to requesters);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams and various stakeholders;
- Analytical mindset, with a focus on performance metrics and process indicators;
- High level of autonomy and proactiveness, as this role involves working in an evolving process environment;
- Intermediate English, for reading, documentation, and conversation.
Prefered Qualifications
- ITIL v4 and/or COBIT certification;
- Experience working in low process maturity environments, contributing to their structure and evolution;
- Intermediate knowledge of process automation in Jira (e.g., Automation for Jira);
- Experience implementing governance in Agile or DevOps teams.
