About the team

The Device Management Platform (DMP) is one of Nubank’s foundational internal Platforms, ensuring that every Nubanker has a frictionless, secure, and compliant technology experience from onboarding to offboarding.
DMP standardizes and automates the full device lifecycle, integrating with internal and external systems to deliver real-time traceability and operational excellence.DMP has become a cornerstone of Nubanker Experience (NuEx) — the organizational effort to build world-class internal products that make work at Nubank simpler, safer, and more delightful.

You will be responsible for

  • We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering squad within the Device Management Platform (DMP)  , the global platform responsible for automating, securing, and tracking the entire device lifecycle for more than 10,000 Nubankers across five countries.
  • This is a strategic and technical leadership role that combines deep engineering understanding, operational excellence, and people management. You will lead a distributed team of engineers responsible for large-scale backend systems, automations, and integrations that ensure Nubank’s devices are secure, compliant, and reliable throughout their lifecycle.
  • We’re looking for someone who can balance technical depth, delivery discipline, and people leadership, someone comfortable discussing architectural decisions while building strong, high-performing teams.

We are looking for a person who will:

  • Lead one of DMP’s engineering squads.
  • owning execution of well-defined technical plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Oversee architecture, design, and evolution of distributed backend services, APIs, and automations integrating platforms like MDMs, microservices architectures, Inventory Systems-IT, and internal business support systems.
  • Ensure systems are secure, observable, resilient, and cost-efficient, with clear documentation and monitoring.
  • Partner with adjacent teams to deliver cross-domain initiatives and reduce friction across the device lifecycle.
  • Drive audit-readiness and governance by transforming manual workflows into automated, measurable controls.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years managing technical teams, preferably multicultural teams.
  • Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, and platform integrations.
  • Experience leading multicultural, distributed teams across time zones.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills (technical + non-technical).
  • Fluent English (Portuguese or Spanish a plus).

Work Model for this Role
