
People & Experience Intern
Role Overview

In this role, you will bring fresh, innovative ideas while supporting key areas of office management (at our Kincardine office), employee experience, and HR administration. Your efforts will ensure a well-organized, safe, and engaging workplace that empowers employees to thrive and achieve bold business goals.
This is a hybrid role that requires an onsite presence a minimum of 1x per week at our Kincardine office, and as needed. The rest of the time you would be working remotely.
Compensation Range: $26-31/hr (Depending on the academic level).
Reporting to the People & Experience Lead, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Office Management / Employee Experience:
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming office environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.
- Keeping the lights on: order office supplies such as snacks, coffee, dishwasher pods on an as-needed basis.
- Coordinate repairs, including technology, lighting, heating, and other facility needs, as required.
- Unlocking doors & welcoming clients into our space for pre-scheduled meetings.
- Conduct monthly health & safety inspections to ensure compliance with OHSA.
- Managing mail: picking it up, scanning & distributing appropriately, sending out NPX computers and apparel as needed.
- Coordinating IT equipment and other drop offs between Employees and other sites.
- Crafting an employee experience: fostering an inclusive, enjoyable environment with thoughtful in-office and other company events.
- Handling the logistics for events & career fairs with your stellar organizational skills; ordering food, communicating with vendors, day-of execution, etc.
2. HR Administration:
Once you have a handle on the Office Management / Employee Experience components of the role, we’d love to have your help with HR administration, including:
- Updating our HRIS (Humi) and other systems as required
- Running onboarding & offboarding
- Assisting with employee culture initiatives
- Other tasks as required, and as desired!
These will help you be successful:
- Currently pursuing education in HR, or something transferable to the role (tell me how!)
- Ability to take ownership over your work. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You notice where something can be improved & do something about it.
- You work autonomously, are self-motivated, and ask questions when you need help.
- Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with a desire to provide a stellar employee experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills. You have lists on lists on lists, and don’t miss a beat.
- You’re detail oriented.
