
Business Operations Lead
Role Overview
As our Business Operations Lead, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the way we operate and grow. You’ll be acting as a partner to the Director of Business Operations and many other Leaders and Stakeholders across our business. Ensuring our day-to-day business operations runs smoothly, supporting cross-functional teams and processes, you’ll be scaling NPX in a smart and sustainable way. Please note this role is primarily remote, with occasional team gatherings approximately once per quarter, or the ability to work from our Kincardine or Whitby offices if desired.
Salary Range: $90-120K (Exact compensation may vary).
Responsibilities:
- Operations: You will work collaboratively to set up our finance, IT, and operations functions for success and scalability. You will streamline processes, tools, and systems.
- Partnership: Working with cross-functional groups across our business to make sure we’re clear, aligned, and our operations are thriving. You will lead strategic projects that will bring us to the next level.
- Driving Data: You’re a data pro. You use data to inform and guide decision making that will help our business succeed. We’re big on data, have dashboards on dashboards on dashboards, and love reporting. You will build data pipelines, SQL databases, and systems that allow us to get the most out of our data.
- Streamlining, structuring, and solving: Building, streamlining, iterating, and problem solving. Constantly. All day, every day. You’ll be looking for opportunities to make things better and then have the autonomy to do something about it.
- Managing projects: Whether it’s overseeing compliance requirements or leading key projects with impact org-wide, you can handle whatever comes up. No sweat. You are comfortable presenting to a diverse leadership team and driving strategic priorities forward.
What you Bring to the Table?
- Previous experience in business operations in a start-up environment with exposure to finance and IT.
- Strong data pipeline, SQL, and dashboard experience. You are no stranger to setting things up from scratch.
- Previous experience managing teams and projects is an asset. You like providing mentorship and guidance to others and you are interested in having direct reports in the future.
- You have stellar organizational skills. Truly top of the line. Managing a team, partnering with leaders, and getting things done – requires you to be excellent at prioritizing and staying organized.
- You’re detail oriented. If there was a typo in this job description, you would have noticed it right away.
