Hybrid

Role Overview

Location: Hybrid
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Director of Business Operations

Salary Range: $90-125k (Exact compensation may vary).

Travel Requirements: Please note that this role is primarily remote, with occasional team gatherings approximately once per quarter, or the ability to work from our Kincardine or Whitby offices if desired.

Why This Role Matters

At NPX, we’re on a mission to revolutionize the nuclear industry and accelerate the clean energy transition. That means thinking differently about how we work. Our business operations need to be as innovative as the technology we deliver.

We’re looking for a Business Systems Developer who’s excited by the idea of building smart, AI-enabled systems that empower people and supercharge productivity. This is your chance to design and implement high-impact solutions that automate workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale operations across the entire company.

This is an exciting opportunity to:

  • Shape how we operate. You’ll work at the heart of the business, turning inefficiencies into elegant, automated systems.
  • Own projects end-to-end. You’ll partner with teams, define solutions, and build the tools that bring them to life.
  • Leverage Automation, tools, and AI to drive real change. You’ll use and build a variety of tools to transform how we work.
  • Join a fast-growing company that values innovation. At NPX, creativity, experimentation, and rapid iteration are cornerstones of our culture.
  • Make an immediate impact. You’ll solve real problems, not hypothetical ones, and your work will scale as we grow.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom tools and automations that streamline business processes.
  • Build and integrate systems using APIs, scripts, and cloud services to connect platforms (e.g., CRM, project management, HR, finance).
  • Find ways to incorporate AI and other new technologies into our processes to create efficiencies and support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify friction points and design creative solutions.
  • Own technical projects from discovery through deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Bring a product mindset to internal tooling, prioritizing usability, scalability, and ROI.

These Will Help You Succeed

  • Experience in software development, systems architecture, and low-code tools.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Experience working in the Microsoft eco-system (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, SQL, Sharepoint, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience using AI tools to solve real-world problems.
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You’re proactive, self-directed, and love turning “what ifs” into working systems.
  • You enjoy digging into how things work and making them better.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • A background in operations, financial analysis, business analysis, or process design

Is NPX right for you?

  • Do you have an intellectual curiosity that causes you to explore, experiment and build?
  • Do you like working with cutting edge technology to find solutions or opportunities that push up the innovation curve?
  • Do you enjoy working in an open-concept start-up environment where collaboration, diversity, and knowledge sharing are key values?
  • Are you seriously passionate about giving back and supporting your community?

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
