Improving the Quality of Products at NPX

We’re looking for a QA Developer to help improve the quality of our products, including but not limited to ECHO. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of a platform that’s transforming how equipment health is monitored, reported, and acted on. Your work will directly reduce manual errors, enhance confidence in system outputs, and support teams in identifying and resolving issues before they become critical. 

You’ll design and implement robust testing strategies, both automated and manual, across front-end interfaces and back-end systems, all with the goal of supporting those who keep nuclear facilities safe and efficient. Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and product designers, you’ll help shape features from the ground up, drive quality improvements, and ensure the platform meets the highest standards for performance and reliability. 

This is a role for someone who wants their testing to matter; who’s passionate about building trust in complex systems and contributing to tools that make the nuclear industry safer, smarter, and more resilient. 

Salary Range: $100-120k (Exact compensation may vary). 

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine user stories and define strong, testable acceptance criteria. 
  • Help build QA best practices within the products team to improve efficiency and quality of work. 
  • Review developer work to ensure a high-quality product for our clients. 
  • Track and document quality issues, providing clear feedback and context to developers and product teams. 
  • Build and scale automated testing systems that help us move quickly without sacrificing quality. 
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable releases. 
  • Improve internal testing process and set it up to scale, from developer self-checks to structured product manager validation. 
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and help ensure our tools work seamlessly in production environments. 

These Will Help You Succeed 

  • 3–7 years in QA or test automation, ideally within agile, product-focused teams. 
  • Proficiency in Playwright, JavaScript, and Python. 
  • Solid experience testing RESTful APIs and validating system behavior through backend tests. 
  • Comfortable combining manual, exploratory testing with automation where needed. 
  • Experience shaping or improving QA workflows, including how teams write and validate user stories. 
  • Able to clearly articulate issues, advocate for quality, and collaborate across disciplines. 
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and brings a continuous improvement mindset.
