We're looking for a Principal Medical Writer to help lead one of our outstanding teams communicating groundbreaking research in cardio-renal-metabolic diseases, including obesity and MASH. This role would suit a creative writer who is experienced specifically in medical communications medical affairs writing; with reviewing experience who is looking for the opportunity to help lead a team, ensuring the quality of our work and maximising our business, in partnership with our client Services lead. As a Principal Medical Writer, you will develop scientific expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, supporting delivery for a versatile team that includes creative, digital, client services, medical analytics, editorial. Core deliverable tasks include researching, developing, and reviewing medical affairs materials, ensuring that all outputs follow written brief, are accurate in content and editorial style and can be referenced. You will also communicate with clients and key opinion leaders on content development and attend scientific meetings.

To succeed you will have:

  • Previous experience working in a Medical Writing role, within a medical communications agency environment.
  • An academic background in the life sciences.
  • Experience writing across a broad range of scientific deliverables e.g. publications, training materials, slide sets, interactive content, conference booths, competitive intelligence, for a variety of medical audiences.
  • Experience designing and facilitating live events, including workshops and advisory board meetings
  • Line management experience

You will also be central to identifying new business opportunities and contributing to proposals and pitches.
