Associate Finance Business Partner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Position Summary
An Associate Financial Business Partner (AFBP) supports the operational management of all Nucleus Global Companies in UK and US in achieving project profitability and billability through the provision of financial information, and the financial management of client projects. Also responsible for assisting in managing and tracking the financials of the business to pass on to client teams for monthly reporting and forecasting purposes.
Education, Work Experience and Skills
- Previous accounting or finance experience and ideally educated to degree level
- Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards for revenue recognition
- Percentage completion method of accounting
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced level) and accounting software
- Proactive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to work
- A strong team player with a collaborative approach to work
- Excellent relationship building skills with employees at all levels
- Experience of managing multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
- Proactive attitude to improving processes
Core Responsibilities
Client Liaison / Account Manager Support
- Assists and monitors client teams with project financials, including billing, estimates, revenue recognition, and reconciliations, challenging and supporting where necessary.
- Regularly liaises with external and internal client teams.
- Assisting in preparing ad hoc Client and Senior Management Reports.
Forecasting
- Assisting in Quarterly forecasting of revenue recognition.
- Provides analysis on profitability, billability and time worked on projects.
Month End
- Assist with Facilitating monthly revenue recognition meetings.
- Prepare and generate monthly revenue reports.
- Assisting with reconciliation of monthly revenue
Other Duties
- Assisting with ongoing improvements in working capital management.
- Ad hoc requests to support Revenue Team
- Providing training to new staff and client teams of internal process and Oracle system.
Compliance
- Ensures that confidentiality and compliance with internal firewalls are always maintained.
Interpersonal Liaison
- Internal liaison with other team members, Nucleus Global departments and pillar colleagues, as required ensuring efficient information flow and delivery of assigned projects.
Managerial Responsibilities
- No direct line reports.
- Reports to Senior Finance Business Partner
- Is aware of own work capacity and proactively communicates capacity to line manager and other team members as appropriate.
