Account Manager – Medical Communications

Global Medical Affairs London / Manchester / Hybrid / Remote UK

Are you an experienced Medical Communications professional looking to take greater ownership of global Medical Affairs programmes and build strong, trusted client relationships?

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our Nucleus Global team, working in partnership with global pharmaceutical clients to deliver a varied portfolio of Medical Affairs communications.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an account. They bring together clients, scientific experts, and internal teams to keep complex programmes moving.

The Role

As Account Manager, you'll take day-to-day ownership of projects across a busy global account. You'll work with clients and colleagues to support delivery on Medical Affairs activities from initial brief through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a range of global Medical Affairs projects from initiation through to delivery
  • Deliver activities such as booth deliverables, congress activities, standalones, expert meetings, scientific workshops, slide decks and digital initiatives
  • Be an important day-to-day client contact, building collaborative and trusted relationships
  • Developing project plans, timelines and budgets and ensuring work stays on track
  • Coordinate scientific, editorial, creative, digital and client services colleagues across multiple workstreams
  • Manage project finances, including budget tracking, forecasting, invoicing and scope management
  • Identify potential risks and challenges early and recommending practical solutions
  • Support meetings with clients and external experts, including preparation, delivery and follow-up
  • Contribute ideas to improve ways of working and strengthen the overall client partnership

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience delivering Medical Affairs or medical education programmes
  • A BSc in Life Sciences
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence communicating directly with pharmaceutical clients and senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines and project resources
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to collaborate with scientific, editorial, creative and digital colleagues
