As part of Inizio Medical, we work across an international network of scientific, medical, and communications specialists. This gives our people the opportunity to collaborate globally, work across diverse therapeutic areas, and contribute to programmes that can make a meaningful difference to healthcare.

We are passionate about great science, great communication and, above all, great people.

The opportunity

We're looking for a Medical Writer to join our growing Scientific & Editorial Services team across cardiology, nephrology and endocrinology.

This is an opportunity to take your scientific expertise and turn complex data into clear, compelling and credible medical communications. You'll work with experienced scientific, editorial and client services colleagues, contributing to a broad range of projects for leading pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

Whether you're developing a publication, preparing content for a scientific meeting, creating educational materials or helping shape a wider medical communications programme, you'll have the opportunity to make a real contribution from day one.

You'll be supported by an experienced team and report into a Senior Scientific Director, with plenty of opportunity to broaden your skills, deepen your therapeutic-area expertise and progress your career.

What you'll do

As a Medical Writer, you will:

  • Research, interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical information clearly.
  • Develop different medical communications deliverables, which may include manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, meeting materials, educational content, training materials and digital or interactive content.
  • Translate scientific data into engaging, audience-appropriate narratives while maintaining scientific accuracy and editorial excellence.
  • Work with senior scientific writers, account teams, editors and other agency specialists to deliver high-quality projects on time and to brief.
  • Support the development of scientific messages and content strategies.
  • Conduct literature searches and critically appraise scientific and clinical data.
  • Collaborate with clients, authors, healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
  • Participate in client meetings, scientific meetings and other project-related activities.
  • Ensure content is appropriately referenced and meets relevant scientific, editorial and compliance standards.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and contribute positively to the wider team.

About you

We're looking for a scientifically curious writer who enjoys turning complex information into clear and engaging communication.

You'll have:

  • A degree, MSc, PhD or equivalent qualification in a life sciences discipline.
  • Experience in medical writing, gained within a medical communications agency.
  • Experience developing scientific content for different audiences and formats.
  • Strong scientific research, interpretation and writing skills.
  • The confidence to ask questions, contribute ideas and take ownership.
  • An enthusiasm for learning and developing your expertise within medical communications.

Why Nucleus Global?

At Nucleus Global, you'll be part of a collaborative community of scientific and communications professionals working on high-profile programmes for leading healthcare organisations.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to work on innovative global medical communications programmes.
  • Collaboration with experienced scientific leaders, strategists and client teams.
  • A broad range of projects, audiences and therapeutic areas.
  • Structured learning, mentoring and career development.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the wider Inizio Medical network.
  • Flexible hybrid and remote working options.
  • A competitive benefits package, including private healthcare and pension.

We believe great work comes from bringing together different perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves, contribute and have the opportunity to excel.

Join Nucleus Global and help turn scientific evidence into communication that makes a difference.
