
IT Support Specialist / Engineer

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and technically proficient IT Support Specialist / Engineer to join our growing fintech organization. This hybrid role blends traditional support with engineering responsibilities, managing and supporting a diverse range of systems including servers, desktops, cloud and network infrastructure, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT environment. As part of our collaborative team based in Casablanca, Morocco, you will work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to innovative projects, and help us maintain our competitive edge. What You'll Do:
- Provide in-person and remote support to resolve technical issues for end-users with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage the Service Desk, ensuring tickets are prioritized and resolved efficiently.
- Manage PC setup, deployment, and onboarding processes for new employees using standardized hardware, images, and software.
- Handle offboarding processes and device collection.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment, software, and licenses.
- Document internal IT policies, procedures, and technical guides.
- Perform user account administration across systems including Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise tools.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain computer systems, servers, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure, preferably with Cisco technologies or similar.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Server and Unix/Linux environments.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Shell.
- Perform upgrades and patch management to ensure systems are up-to-date.
- Ensure IT infrastructure security by implementing best practices and collaborating with security and development teams for compliance and performance.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and support during IT projects and upgrades.
- Support weekend on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Ability to develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Shell.
- Cisco Certification (CCNA or higher) or related networking credentials.
- A+ Certification (preferred).
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices.
- Knowledge of financial industry security and compliance standards.
- Experience in endpoint management and additional certifications.
