Senior Product Manager, Nuna App

Product Managers at Nuna guide our products from concept to launch and beyond! We’re the voice of our customers within Nuna and love learning about their needs and challenges to craft better solutions. We work closely with User Experience, Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Legal, Compliance and Trust across new and existing products at Nuna. We're building an innovative digital experience for patients, which includes:
Digital Care Team: Imagine an AI-powered resource that can communicate with patients in their native language, answering questions about their care plans. This capability bridges the gap between patients and their healthcare needs, providing support and information at their fingertips.
Behavioral Economics in Action: We're leveraging the principles of behavioral economics and gamification to encourage healthy habits. Our product allows patients to track and manage daily health activities with engaging, proactive nudges. It's healthcare that's not only smart but also fun and rewarding.
Financial Incentives: Patients can earn financial rewards by completing health activities and achieving specific outcomes. This approach motivates and supports patients in their journey towards better health.
Diverse Population Focus: Our initiatives target a wide range of populations, including those with hypertension, diabetes, and general wellness needs. We're also committed to Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) screening, with future partnerships that will expand our reach and impact.
This role is open to remote, but preference is given to candidates located in these areas: San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and Austin.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
Uncover unique insights quickly by understanding the domain and market, as well as customer and user needs
Convert insights into fully fleshed out features/capabilities with clear articulation for “why”
Execute effectively on prioritized capabilities using a test-measure-learn approach
Consistently ship high-quality capabilities on schedule
Build instrumentation to monitor product performance and leverage generated data to inform roadmap decisions and broader strategy
Work with leadership to define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap ensuring alignment with company objectives and user needs
Collaborate closely with the actuarial and data partners to drive impact measurement and attribution to patient actions within product suite

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
A passion to help drive an equitable healthcare system that ensures positive health outcomes for everyone
4+ years’ experience Product Managing consumer facing applications
2 years experience building mobile applications for large scale consumer adoption (1M+ users) with accountability for engagement and retention of users
2 years experience with 0 to 1 journey in a fast paced startup setup - ability to deal with ambiguity with a strong sense of urgency and bias for action
2 years experience with A/B and multivariate testing
Strong critical thinking and effective written communication to convey information succinctly to partner teams
Experience in developing and implementing outcome measurement initiatives, utilizing suitable test designs and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Game Design, or Behavioral science
1-2 years experience designing incentive systems incorporating gamification to drive behaviors change
Experience in game development
Experimentation mindset

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. The expected salary range for this position is $162,000 to $198,000. Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack

Population Health team:
This team is dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive population health management and improve member outcomes. We strive to enhance foundational data and expand Care app experience through innovative data solutions and collaborative partnerships.
Program team:
This team builds a data platform and a suite of UI applications used by healthcare payers and providers to improve patient care and reduce costs via the operation of value-based programs. The program team is responsible for the logic of our customers’ value-based programs and for exposing results and operational data via an application suite (existing) and data warehouse (future). The team is comprised of a cross-functional group of analysts and software developers.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of experience
Able to independently guide projects from beginning and end including technical design and leading other engineers with a high level of autonomy
Proven experience developing data-intensive web based applications using React, Javascript, TypeScript, SQL, Python on time and budget
Experience building production-hardened web services, with consideration for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and repeatability
Experience with API design that lets us build composable APIs and libraries to solve many different needs
Experience rapidly prototyping new product concepts, especially for enterprise clients
Understanding of automated testing concepts in web apps and the ability to consistently apply them
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with healthcare data and/or concepts - e.g., FHIR, OMOP
Familiarity writing and/or operating data pipelines

Principal Software Engineer, Data & Interoperability
YOUR TEAM
Nuna’s value platform will make payers and providers successful in value-based care arrangements to improve outcomes and lower the cost of care. Our work runs the gamut from joining streams of messy real-world data to building queryable data warehouses to constructing visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insight. We build systems that are auditable, as automated as possible, an accurate representation of the underlying data, and, most importantly, responsive to our end users' needs. We strive for a creative, collaborative engineering environment that implements best practices of peer review, readability, maintainability, and security of the code base and infrastructure.
As one of the Principal Engineers for Nuna’s Value Platform team, you'll build products that change the dynamics and incentives of the healthcare industry, changing a zero-sum game of competition between payers and providers into patient-centered collaboration. You’ll create and refine architectural designs, integrations, and development processes across a team of 40+ engineers. You’ll take a leadership role in defining, architecting, and building the integrations between Nuna’s value platform third-party provider/population-health-entity systems that will help providers better engage and manage their patients.

QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience
Have experience interoperating with at least one major health platform - e.g., Epic, Arcadia, Innovacer
Experience implementing applications using FHIR and extending FHIR
Expertise in synthesizing complex technical requirements, designs, trade-offs, and capabilities into clear decisions, and track record of influencing both business and product direction
Experience scaling complex systems and data pipelines with efficient, secure, and load tested interactions
Experience working with executive to intern levels with effective negotiating and influencing skills
Experience delegating tasks and evaluating performance of projects
Experience providing creative solutions and offering theories that solve complex problems and create values for our customers
Experience rapidly prototyping new product concepts, especially for enterprise clients
