Key Account Manager, Specialty and Emerging Channels - Canada

Who You Are: 

Reporting to the Director, Sales – Canada, the Key Account Manager, Specialty & Emerging channels, will be a key member of the sales team and a leader in the specialty channel in Canada. This role is responsible for the management and strategic direction of sales and profitability of Nutrabolt’s Key Accounts and Distributors in assigned channels. You will drive new business development and brand expansion through our existing & new customer base. This will be achieved by creating value, managing expectations, delivering exceptional levels of support, and demonstrating a customer-centric approach.

This role is eligible to participate in our Sales Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At: 

  • Effectively manage Nutrabolt’s current business base as well as build new category volume within existing base
  • Responsible for new business development nationally
  • Understand and utilize data to perform sales reporting
  • Budgeting and tracking key account metrics, conducting regular business reviews and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop long-term business strategies that align with customer/company goals & objectives
  • Maintain various customer promotional calendars and the associated internal/external processes including, forecasting, budgeting, pricing submissions
  • Reconciliation of customer program deductions and debit note management
  • Manage market price changes for respective group of customers
  • Maintain a high knowledge and understanding of all Nutrabolt marketing plans and policies, operating procedures and products
  • Maintain a high level of "Market Place" knowledge
  • Ensure all correspondence and reports are completed on time and in a thorough manner
  • You will review forecasting and shipping data with a focus on early identification of opportunities and challenges
  • Work with Demand Planning team to develop working forecasts and accurately assist in managing inventory flow
  • You will work collaboratively with sales, marketing and product teams to help develop new product opportunities and programs
  • Starts with the customer and works backwards, works vigorously to earn and keep customer trust
  • Develop, maintain and foster “Top-to-Top” level relationships with assigned banners / customers
  • Key focus on driving sales through marketing programs, customer-centric solutions to existing problems, recommending modifications to assortment, and coordinating sales negotiations.
  • Activate with impact – create in-store merchandising that drives brand presence and awareness, i.e. shelf schematics, category plan-o-grams, and placement of signage, floor stands, and POP material.
  • Ability to travel to customers and be in-market, weekly as required.

What You Contribute: 

  • Has a Bachelor's degree or higher, preferred
  • Has at least 5 years related experience in Specialty Channel space (Popeyes, GNC, Healthy Planet, Supplement King Independents Retailers)
  • Able to interface with Specialty channel personnel at various levels (Replenishment, Buyers, Order Specialist, Senior Management)
  • Exposure to sport focused accounts a positive (FGL Sports)
  • Exposure to Liquidation channel customers a positive
  • Has a strong ability to analyze data such as forecasts, sales trends, out of stocks, and seasonality trends
  • Industry experience within sports nutrition or related category is preferred.
