The role:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the warehouse to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality order fulfillment. This role is critical in driving customer satisfaction, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and fostering a productive and engaged team environment. Whether it means troubleshooting system issues or getting in and working with the team side-by-side to get orders out the door and into our customers’ hands.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role during normal operating hours from Monday–Friday, with additional Sunday coverage required from 7:00 AM until operations are complete.
What you'll do:
Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure on-time, cost-efficient, and high-quality order fulfillment.
- Ensure all incoming shipments are shelved on the day they arrive.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy for picking and restocking.
- Audit a minimum of 10 packed orders per day; document and address any deviations.
- Oversee processing of return shipments and coordinate with the Customer Experience (CX) team as needed.
- Ensure all returned products are reshelved and packaging materials are properly broken down and discarded.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, aligned with company and safety standards.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead daily kickoff meetings to communicate team goals, priorities, and safety reminders.
- Develop and manage daily and weekly staffing plans to meet forecasted order volumes efficiently.
- Review and adjust employee schedules to control labor costs, including managing overtime and temp staffing.
- Maintain accurate time records and handle HR-related administrative tasks.
- Support, coach, and train team members to build capability and improve performance.
- Promote team engagement through open communication, regular feedback, and coaching.
- Use quarterly engagement survey feedback to identify key focus areas and drive improvements.
- Partner with internal management and staffing agencies to recruit and hire new employees.
- Conduct employee terminations, ensuring proper documentation and communication with HR and leadership.
Facility Management
- Perform end-of-day warehouse walkthroughs to ensure readiness and secure the facility.
- Lock the warehouse and activate alarm systems during closing shifts.
- Monitor warehouse temperatures and ice levels to preserve product quality.
- Confirm timely pickup of waste and recycling materials.
- Oversee functionality of key equipment and systems including kernel pods, HVAC, internet, and alarms.
- Manage communications with the property manager and escalate facility issues as needed.
- Ensure all internal and external maintenance procedures are properly completed.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Attend weekly Operations meetings to stay informed on company-wide updates and strategic priorities.
- Clearly communicate relevant updates and initiatives to the warehouse team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the warehouse and other departments (e.g., CX, HR, Facilities).
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations roles
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity
- A flexible schedule during peak season and when business needs require
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations focused on quality, efficiency, and cost control
- Strong skills in communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving
- Proficiency with warehouse technologies and tools (e.g., inventory software, scheduling systems)
- Physical capability to lift/move items in a warehouse environment
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and team development
