What will you be doing:
The Hospice House LPN will provide basic bedside care to terminally ill residents and render prescribed treatments to clients residing at the Hospice House. We are need of both per diem day and overnight LPN's.
- Take and keep track of residents’ vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
- Prepare and give patients injections and enemas, monitor catheters and dress wounds, as needed
- Assess present and potential problems, needs and resources of the resident and communicates this to the Hospice House Case Manager
What we’re looking for in you:
- Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses
- Current State of Massachusetts LPN license
- Previous community health experience, preferred
- Strong clinical skills and Hospice experience, preferred
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written
- Organized. flexible and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Compassionate and caring attitude, sympathetic
- Availability to work: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. per diem or 7 a.m.-7 p.m. per diem
