As a Clinical Team Assistant, you would be responsible for intake. You will assist Clinical Managers and support the clinical staff to improve communication and ensure quality patient care. Acts as the key link between clinicians and clinical managers. The schedule for this position is Part-time, 24 hours per week, Fri - Sun 8 am-5:00 pm.
What will you be doing:

Essential Functions:
- Fields calls from referral sources; also retrieve e-faxes and/or e-mails for requests for service; obtain all necessary patient information.
- Screen potential referrals for appropriateness as established by Agency protocols.
- Coordinate with other staff to assure effective and efficient processing of referrals; i.e. forward necessary information and documentation to clinical staff and medical records as appropriate.
- Responsible for clerical accuracy and documentation of department-specific orders.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with referral sources to promote good community relations.
- Work with Billing Specialists on detailed insurance issues.
- Troubleshoots problems; assists and trains staff members and makes suggestions/recommendations for process improvements.
- Market Agency services and educate referral sources in order to support the goals of the Agency in order to grow.
- Performs duties necessary to maintain quality standards.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Assures Agency compliance with all federal and state laws as well as adhering to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. Corporate Compliance policy in the prevention of fraud and abuse on behalf of the Agency.
- Performs other Agency-related duties, as assigned.
What we're looking for in you:
- High school or greater education, AS in Secretarial Science preferred.
- Minimum of two years of office (clerical) related experience required, in a health care setting strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as multi-disciplinary scheduler preferred.
- Strong proficiency in the English language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills required
- Congenial and positive attitude
- Able to function cooperatively as a team member
- Highly organized, flexible and dependable
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and meet the agency's attendance requirements
- Able to sit for prolonged periods (usually at computer)
